i'm off to a festival in a few weeks and want to take some philosopher's stone truffles, but really can't stand the taste of the fresh ones from the local headshop. If i blended the shrooms into a milkshake and stored it for two or three days in the fridge, would it ruin the shrooms? i wanted to try it with about 18 grams in about two liters of milkshake

You could use OJ with a blender instead of milk. Because milk will coat your stomach lining and you will hardly trip at all. Just get the blender, put in the stones with OJ and set on purify.

If I were you I wouldn't store them for too long. They are difficult to dry and have a habit of going moldy after a day or two. If you keep them in the fridge they might be OK for about 3 days. Buy them on the day you leave for the festival preferably.

milk not just coating stomach...
it is possible that the large amounts of tryptophane in milk (ok, as component of milk proteins) may compete with psilocin/psilocybin for neuroreceptor sites, thusly interfering with trip...
the 'stones could be prepped into something like "unka gnrm's psillycider" (R), or other palatable beverage...

Christ man, I can't think of anything tasting worse than fresh stones in mushrooms - you'll just be gagging on big lumps of the stuff.
Best bet is to dry em out and capsule em. No taste, no problem.

yeah it sounds stupid but they won't grind up so i can sprinkle em on stuff, they just turn into a paste, so blending them seems my only option unless i want to spend my afternoon picking bits out of a grinder

I always thought milk helps your trip come on faster. Last time I ate 4grams and a glass of milk and felt effects within 10 mins and it didnt seem to interfere with the trip.

i've heard that milk "coating your stomach" is an old wive's tale from several doctors, although i can't cite anything else to prove this statement.

actually a regular tea sounds great...Koolaide always did sound shitty to me, but i dont drink that kinda stuff. Just regular tea, chilled, with LOTS of sugar added...and youll have some psychedelic ice'd tea with floaty bit's...itll last 2 or 3 days...i think.

true, very true, i was planning on blending them into a smoothie kinda thing, rather than straining the psilocybin out i wanted to still actually digest the actual shrooms

What are you thinking... 18 grams fresh with 2 liters of milkshake? That's only about 1.8 dried , you're gonna drink 2 liters just to get down that? You must really hate the shit.. lol

i dunno how much i'm gonna put in, havent really researched it, ive only tried philosophers stone once and loved them, but they do taste truly revolting. I've almost made my mind up and i think i'm gonna go with the peanut butter sandwiches, but if the oportunity arises when i have plentiful supplies i wil try a milkshake... and then 'll post it on here
