I probably havn't payed $167 in total for all my cacti. And that's pots and soil included. I'd rather buy that cactus than some silly shoes though...

i dont know either but if i were to guess i would call it a Myrtillocactus crest

I dunno, looks too green and shiny. I would guess an Echinopsis crest, but I'm far from sure.

I'm with some sort of crested Echinopsis most likely.

It's definitely not a Myrtillocactus or Trichocereus pachanoi or Gymnocactus.

Echinopsis crest is the name of this cactus thank you sir. now for the million dollar question does it hold the active ingredients mescaline?

It might contain traces of mescaline, but it would not be considered active. It's worth holding onto and nurturing. It would yield some interesting pollen to make Trichocereus crosses with.

Yeah that's a echinopsis for sure cover the crest part with your hand and close one eye and you will see it looks exactly like a regular echinopsis.

Is there any limit to the size at which a cactus can shoot pups, considering the top has been cut off? My graft failed and the little host is only a 5 inch tall, maybe 2 inch wide pachanoi.

i remember something about coconut milk but i'd have to look it up. i'm sure someone else will chime in, but pedros grow pretty fast on their own and if it doesnt have a tip it will pup
