What is the best way to use a small faint print?

Starting with 2 very small and faint prints of stone forming P. species galindoi and tampaensis. Used the best sterile tech I could muster, dropping each print into sterile shot glass of water and agitated with long sterile needle then drew up 5 separate 12cc syringes in a SAB. Though it may not be necessary I am letting any spores that made it into the syringes rehydrate and then will plate them out. I am storing the syringes needles down hoping gravity can help bring the spores to the tips. Any suggestions for me at this point? Looking for hints about how to ensure spores make it into the syringes next time because at this point I don't feel very good about it. Thanks

Here is how I prepare my syringe- PC shotglass wrapped in tinfoil and syringe/s filled with 10cc's distilled water for 60mins at 15psi.
Place each item in SAB along with the prints and tools you plan to work on- bomb it with a quick lysol spray or watever. Let it sit for a few minute's. When your ready to work- open each print, using a flame sterilized scapel/inoculation loop, scrape a pile of spores, about the size of a grain of rice, and pour from the aluminum square into the shotglass, take the syringe and purge all 10cc's into the shotglass, then retract the water back into the syringe, and your done. Now you still have 75-90% of a print left to repeat the process

I would have just taken a swipe and put it on agar.

I'm sure there are spores in your syringe, but I'm skeptical about germination without contamination...if it were me, and I had a spore print, I would go straight to agar and transfer away until I got clean myc. growth; then agar to grain then grain to grain...or you could do some fancy isolation work...but to each their own

Sounds like the best way then would be to take a swipe at the spores and plate to agar, isolate til clean then go from there. Is that the general consensus? I did add a few drops to agar but also shot some into grain for shits and grins.
Hope to see more input from those who have dealt with small faint prints. Please let me know. thanks

Thanks! reordered new print to work on. When I get this going I want to send double prints to the spore ring so others can have a better chance at success. I know the fruit bodies are small on these species but I was surprised at the paltry amount one gets from vendors--these spores are like gold plated palladium. Like Damn! cube spores are like sand by comparison. On ward through the fog.
