mushrooms: revelation or self-analysis
    #1790963 - 08/08/03 04:19 AM (13 years, 4 months ago)

I hear alot of people talking about how mushrooms are a communication device with the universe/god/whatever the fuck packaging you want to wrap the chemicals up in.

but to me, it seems like its all self-analysis. Whatever hallucinations you experience are just a reflection of whats on your mind, they have nothing to do with the world outside your head.

but of course....the world outside your little mind is just a reflection of the world inside your little mind, so its not like it matters AT ALL.

well, alot of the people who say that shrooms let you get closer to god also believe that god IS you, or is in you, so they would agree with you to an extent.......I think.

^ I agree.

What if everything around you
Isn't quite as it seems?
What if all the world you think you know,
Is an elaborate dream?
And if you look at your reflection,
Is it all you want it to be?

the ego-less self analysis can only lead to revelation!

god generated within = entheogen

According to Jung, experiencing gnosis, or knowledge of the divine, is indeed self analysis, because we experience God through our own consciousness. But then, he might have been tripping when he said that.

True...my friend at the time of my experience (same dose) ended up cowering like a baby never to touch a psycadelic substance in quantity again. Don't know why his experience would be different than mine....but its a personal experience not everyone is ready for. Im personally still scared shitless years later of a large dose, but i am facing that fear, and hope one day to experience such a state again...for better or worse.
