I watched this move called Cloud Atlas which is based on a book , a proper 3 hour film.

i will give it 9/10 for originality it follows 6 different stories spread out across in different time periods of existence , each of these time periods has the same people yet they someone else due to the movie being primarily about reincarnation.

if you are reading this defiantly check out this film

I didn't mind cloud atlas although I feel it would have been a better film if perhaps they edited out of the many subplots to give it a more focused feel. Other than that it was a great visual spectacle and I'm a sucker for any sci fi so that was fun.

Blow

Great movie about The american cocaine smuggler George Jung. George was played by Johnny Depp so of coarse I loved it. The only thing about it was it was just like goodfellas but with cocaine and pot. Even George's father was the same guy who was the father from goodfellas so that was kinda funny. But still great movie, if you have not seen it watch it.

I give it a 9/10

The Thin Red Line, directed by Terrence Malick. He is a genius who makes a movie about once every 20 years. It's about our WWII invasion of Guadalcanal. There were alot of good actors: Jim kalziel, Sean Penn, Woody Harrelson, Nick Nolte, John Travolta and John Cuesac among others. Parts of the movie are intense warfare, while other parts are beautiful and incredibly slow moving. Malick's movies have been described as looking at a beautiful painting. I couldn't rate it. It would depend on the person and their mood.

Moonrise Kingdom 7/10

Good movie, it's got a different and interesting story and the shots they have are beautiful. The actors are great too, Bill Murray, Edward Norton and Bruce Willis are some of my favorites. I guess my only problem with the movie is that it doesn't give a very solid problem and solution.

Quarantine - 6.5/10  [interested in watching REC now to compare; I don't know if I can do the subtitles if the story is pretty much the same though. It seems like seeing the story once is enough and that REC can't be all that much better.]

The Signal - 8/10

11:14 - 9/10

11:14 was definitely one of the better recent movies I have seen. Worth a watch for pretty much anyone who enjoys a good film.

Gangster Squad.

Good movie I give it a 7/10

I am disappointed that they cut the scene where the police (i think) shoot up the movie theater with they're Thompsons.

Memory's Of A Geisha 8/10

The movie all in all, was amazing. It was a powerful and moving story with deep charters and wonderful cinematography. Also just the fact its about eastern cultures was a plus . I have always been into movies and really anything to do with that time period and culture.

The only real thing I disliked about the movie was the fact it was in English, and I know that sounds REALLY picky but hey, I'm a natural critic  and if your going to make a movie about 20th century Japan it just would have been a nice touch to have the characters speak the native language.

On a side note I'm going to finish Lawrence of Arabia tonight, so far its a 9/10 for sure. Peter O'Toole is so full of whit it's magic.

Dredd
8/10
A really high actioney movie and a good candidate for a movie on this site, its judge dredd but with more of a sci fi graphic novel feel.

Tammy 7/10

Was pretty funny and a feel good movie in general. Went in expecting a couple laughs and was pleasantly satisfied. Susan Sarandon doesn't really seem old enough to be the grandmother and the mother was a weird casting choice but I did enjoy the love interest.

I decided to watch this instead of dawn of the planet of the apes and believe I chose right.

'The Presence'

0/10. Seriously the worst movie I've ever seen. It was so bad it became a comedy. So bad it was awesome. We laughed hysterically. I mean I've seen 'The Room' and this was worse than that.
