SGFC'ers I need your help! Gimmy your conditions!

The SGFC is a pretty slick setup, making a semi-self contained micro climate with minimal if any needed external care.
I really want to see what makes them work from a engineering thermodynamics/fluids perspective. I mainly want to do this for shits and grins. Who knows, maybe it could be used to help some people out.
I looked around and couldn't find any calculations of this sort, I think RR said he tried once, but lead it to some nasty headaches
If you're running a SGFC right now, if you could tell me:
- Humidity Measurements-
- The RH of the room your FC is in.
- Current RH of your SGFC
- Outside RH (check online weather site)
- Temperature Measurements-
- Temp in your SGFC (taken from the middle of the chamber if possible)
- Perlite layer Temp (Poke a thermometer in about the middle of your perlite)
- Temperature in the room where your SGFC is
- Outside Dew point temp (Again from online weather site)
- Barametric pressure (Again from online weather site)
If possible take SGFC Temp/RH readings prior to misting/FEA if you do this.
Also I'll need:
- SGFC Size (qrts)
- Number of holes
- Size of Holes
I am going to assume you are following RR's tek, meaning you have 1/4" holes @ 2" apart, on all sides. There is 4" of perlite on the bottom. The chamber is slightly elevated and in a room with free air circulation.
Due to the large degree of variables that vary place to place the more data I can get from independent sources the more accurate the calculations will be.
The more SGFC'ers with data to share the better
Thanks!

Not currently running one, but I can give you all the information I can remember.
Room RH - 32-37% SGFC RH - 99% Outside RH - 80%
Room Temp - 70-74 F SGFC Temp - 70-74 F Perlite Temp - Didn't monitor, so IDK, but sure it's 70-74 F Dew Point - 41 F Barametric Pressure - 29.42 inches

Thank you! I edited the post since you posted. What size was your container, how many holes, and size of holes. (Assuming you followed RR's tek)

on how many holes. I'm not counting them. It's a 116L (123 quarts) Tote. Size of holes is 1/4" per the tek.

You may want to use the proper abbreviation in your title. SGFC, not SCFC

I will post as soon as I get home. I had made a mistake and forgot the holes on the bottom (first time). After cleaning up perlite soup, I am ROCKIN. Tub is getting stabilized. Will report soon!

Not running one atm, but I can give you all the info I can.
Room RH 45-55% SGFC RH 95+% Outside RH 60-65% Room Temp 68-74 F SGFC Temp 72-80 F Perlite Temp dont know assuming it would be a few *F colder than the scfc temp Dew Point 55-60 F Barametric Pressure 29-30 inches this was a 66qt SGFC 24.5"x17.75"x13.375" too many holes to count but theyre 1/4" spaced 2" apart on all 6 sides
hope this helps

Thank you so much! It may be a awhile before I crank out the calculations, but it will happen. I'd really like to get a good data spread first though.

In the name of science, I will construct a SGFC for this. It's been awhile since I used one, but I -loved- mine.
Data forthcoming in future bump.

i used my face as a hygrometer so i dunno specifics, but i love the idea behind this post. the sgfc was a huge development in indoor mycology but everyone always insisted it gives the same result no matter the ambient environment, but this isn't exactly true of more extreme environments. i have nothing else to add, just wanted to feel like i am a part of something, so i joined this thread.
