I wanna know what this could possibly be. I have never tripped on shrooms before and I live in NY, shroomies sadly are not too common around here, just the usual Cannabis, e, coke, heroine, and LSD kinda town. Since I live in the surburbs I figured there might be magic mushies growing around here, to my suprise I went outside at night and I found about 40 of these guys scattered around the tall grass. Brown gills Very small, I did not take mesurements The cap is a peach colored, fades from a light tan to an off white. Well so the story goes on, it rained the next morning they dissapeared, when I went to bag them all in the afternoon. Within 24 hours to my amazement I saw a good 8 of them scattered further apart this time. It rained that night and I checked again and went out and there were none. I waited another 24 hours and I found about 12 of em and it rained this morning and now I only see about 6 or 7 this morning...Whatever it is it grows really fast and I would like to know if its hallucinogenic because that would be great. I have more pics but they were too blurry, its raining right now so I will wait about 40 hrs to take more pics if needed. We have alot of rain going on right now so im waiting for it to settle before I go picking and let them get to settle and age a bit. Thanks in advance for any help.
Oh yeah...A friend/Marijuana grower of mine suggested they were Copelandia cyanescens, not sure but they look like em.

They are not copes as those do not grow in your area.
I advise you to read obver the sticky threads [the ones that are always at the top] in this forum and than post a detailed description if you still want to get an ID, though I'd have to agree that they do look like conocybes, a genus containing several deadly mushrooms.

You need to get a spore print. Read the sticky threads at the top of the forum.
At a glance, a wild guess would be Conocybe lactea, a common lawn mushroom. Inactive.
Happy mushrooming!

Tis' the season of Conocybe lactera's.
Nothing of interest; and extremely common on lawns.

Yeah...I see, thanks alot guys, you helped alot, I would have been pissed off if I ate that crap. Anyone know where I can find suitable spores syringes in this case? And what's the best kind of Species to start out, the easiest and most potent, the best substrate in your opinion. Im a newbie, lazy right this second, I dont like computers much.

We do not grow mushrooms , we just look at spores under high magnification . We all have serious problems with those that grow illegal mushrooms . We are all god fearing christians . The suggestion otherwise scares us and makes us ill to our stomach ( waves flag here ).
