Hey guys,
Im very interested in buying the presto 23Q PC. Problem is i live in Western Europe. And i have only seen it on US stores. Does anyone have a clue about finding it perhaps in the UK or mainland Europe? Or if not does anyone have a clue on shipment costs?

If i remember well, FractalXplora, in the "grow supply sources in the UK" linked people to an english site selling american pressure cookers. Not sure if you'll find excatly the same model, but you should send him a pm. Im interested to know the price of that shipment cause im in West Europe too

Although home canning is primarily a US pursuit, pressure cooking happens worldwide. You might be able to find something at a restaurant supply house or similar, vs home retail stores.

myea i know. perhaps I'll give fractal a message. Pressure cookers of that caliber are upwards of 300 euro's here. so getting them from the US and pay 60 bucks of shipment would still be way cheaper.
If anyone has sugestions or knows vendors, im all ears.

The US post office charges by the weight of the package (in pounds). You can get estimates for different shipping methods from their website. I think 25 pounds is a good estimate for the weight of a packed p23.
Most retailers will want to use a shipping method with tracking which can be expensive for international orders. Find one that's willing to ship at package rates, or find somebody in the US to reship for you.

I'm near Belgium. but don't mind importing from UK or nearby. But it looks like I'll be importing from the US by the look of things.

If you have to import, the US will be your best option I think. We have great shipping rates compared to other countries and currency exchange is favorable.
Unless you could buy from India or Hong Kong maybe?

No evolution on pressure cooker All American PC, Presto or whatever it is good sterelize grains sold in Europe? nothing Europe similiar to this??? this is anoying...
In my case is not only the shipping, imported from USA new, out of Europe would kill any dream...
Besides the shipping there are other TAX is paid over the pressure cooker bill, imported goods are taxed, a weeks before I paid 20 euros for a 50 euro estimated item...a 150 euro pressure cooker will be paid in taxes and shipping over 100 euros, this is a dream kill...
So no other options in Europe? I also don't want to spend 1500 euros buying an Autoclave...
best regards F.

The guage goes up to 20psi, but it comes with only one weight (15lbs). I've been using this model for a long time, I only paid $75 I think, fantastic tool, great value.
Edit: crap... I didn't realize this was an ancient thread--

Yea to post an update to this, I've received the product and have had great results from it, still using it. A fantastic tool for an amateur enthusiast. I did spend upwards on 100 euro's on shipping, including import taxes from non EU sources! Be careful if you import outside of the EU.
This means i have spend more on the shipping than the actual product itself. Still this has been a cheaper option than buying one locally for me strangely enough.
