they are not active, they are boletes. use caution as some bluing boletes are poisonous.

i'm pretty sure that is a Boletus species, but post a description of the following:

color of spore deposit,

texture of cap when fresh,

texture and internal structure of the stipe.

Attn PWN hunters: If you should come across a bluing Psilocybe matching P. pellicolusa please smell it.
If you detect a scent reminiscent of Anethole (anise) please preserve a specimen or two for study and please PM me.

They're boletes. Not active, possibly poisonous, possibly edible.

Get a spore print, and let us know what color it turns out.

Cut one in half vertically, and let us know how long it takes it to turn blue.

We'll probably have more questions after you give us those answers.

Happy mushrooming!

When fresh, were the caps sticky, slimy, or dry?

On young ones, was there any trace of a ring on the stem?

Happy mushrooming!

Those are in a group of boletes that are very similar to each other. I'll give you a link to a page about Boletus campestris where Michael Kuo give a good explanation of the difficulties.

I'm leaning towards Boletus fraternus (for no particular good reason), but it could be any of several very similar species. As a group they are not recommended for eating.

Sorry I can't be more helpful than that.

Happy mushrooming!
