Sounds like it is LSD (acid)...what form are they in??

lol! fractals are graphical representaions of the chaos theory that may trippers see with their eyes opened/closed during the peak of the trip.
Comp generated fractals and pychedelic generated fractals are almost identical.

Very complex beautiful patterns...i love them

(it's the pattern on some [good] acid blotter) shhhhhh!

No, it's not -just- a repeating pattern. %)

Fractals are just a name for the blotter paper that LSD has been layed on, just like there are buddahs, pyramids, dancing bears, and an infinite amount of possibilities.

^^

Good book on the subject.

I saw fractals on my first trip, and that was before I even knew what they were. I was looking at a wall and noticed that I could see a certain pattern that was repeated over and over again on an increasingly larger scale. Which is interesting to say the least.

I don't know how the "random" strokes of a paint brush could end up creating such a detailed pattern. Maybe I was just tripping though.

mandelbrot mathematical function generates patterns that seem to repeat as scale is zoomed in or out...
~
colorful pattern is inked onto blotter paper sheets...
(& if desired, the sheet is dipped into an alcohol & LSD solution & dried... 10x10 squares to a sheet, & i think 10 sheets to a "book" & 100 sheets to a "bible" --- with "chintzy" dosage levels @ 30-60 ug/square, "fair" doses @ 100 ug per, and "righteous" doses @ 250 ug per...)
~
or so i have heard...

Fractals, I believe, contain when examined both philsophical and scientific implications that blanket every aspect of life. Our world, ourselves, our experiences of ourselves in this world, all can be understood with a certain hilarity when one understands the parallels to be drawn between a Mandelbrot and a Mandala.

I won't claim to have the capacity to explain just why I believe that to be so.
