    #1784992 - 08/06/03 02:41 PM (14 years, 16 days ago)

afoaf thinks he pressure cooked his popcorn for too long...normally when hes finished, then popcorn kernals look the same as when they were put in there...this time its darker and looks kinda like its dried up

would the nutrients have been cooked out of it? should i innoculate?

thanks in advance

Was there enough water in there?

EDIT: Also did you PC the corn to get the correct water content or to sterilize?

hmmm.. sounds like you need more water in your pressure cooker.. (ex.: it evaporated in the pc and the moisture within the jars themselves began to evaporate as well -- when there was no more moisture in them, they began to overheat at the point of contact, hence burnt corn...)

it *MAY* still work.. How badly burnt are they?
