Baby ft. Clipse - 'What Happened to that Boy'

-- In the video there is a scene where someone is
cleaning blood off their boots with a toothbrush
and a bottle of water. Dribbling a bit of water
onto the stains and scrubbing it off with a toothbrush.
Because they shot someone and blood got on them.

-- It's one of the weirdo post-'Grindin',' Neptunes
productions, a never-stop bleeping robot sound over
between the two sounds in the song is like ten
kilometers. The bleep way up over your head and
the bass rumble like --- um, like some loud
thing happening a long ways away. On these
computer speakers: if I turn it up to hear
the undersounds, the topsounds slap my ear.
When he says, 'He was talkin' shit, we put a
clap into that boy' in the chorus, that's mostly
when it happens, there's a big machinegun noise
and it has to be loud to hear it.

-- Baby really has a lot of money and he has a bunch
of red cars. Malice and Pusha-T really used to sell
cocaine and they're really criminals. And Baby casts
himself in the role of the ------ supergangsta like
um Krang or something
. And he is strolling through
the hood with his Dobermans with spikey collars and
they will kill people who don't give them money, and
everyone owes them money.

-- 'Ugh, another soul lost, had to make his shirt match
my ox blood-coloured Porsche. Ugh. The rims match of,
course. Blood hit his Timbs, it reminded me of them...
glistenin', wrist on chiller, gun in the same palm of
gourgeous killer. I put this on my Lord, my niece was
four when she felt chinchilla.'

-- I can't tell what's real anymore.

Lil Wayne - 'Ignition Freestyle'

-- Lil Wayne is all fucked up and has tattoos all over
his face and he looks really, really sick, like he has
AIDS or something. Even worse than before. He looked like
a cheetah before, but not in a good way.

The Boo and Gotti video for 'Ain't It, Man,' is the last
place I saw him. AIDSed up and dirty gold teeth and new
outfit in every scene, croaksinging the hook.

-- The 'Ignition Freestyle' is on the SQ6 mixtape. It says
'Lil Wayne and the Sqad' on it. He does the usual sort
of mixtape thing, take the hot beats, talk about selling
cocaine over them, buy new cars. He's pretty good at it.

-- At the start of it, Baby instructs him, 'I need you
to go on this nigga track for me, dawg, and just fuck
this motherfucker up. Do this for your boy.'

-- Lil Wayne answers the call. 'Give me a brick and I
flip it. I be controlling that block, I help every fiend
out there trippin'. I be flippin' that coke and bud.
I'm like, So what, I'm young. It's the freakin' American
way, I'm about to grab me some funds.' (Fortunately for
us, he changes the original lyrics to lyrics about
him selling cocaine.)

-- He sells cocaine to 'frat rats' at the party, he
advises us to bring our gat to the party, drives an
Aston-Martin, has sex.

-- So lo-fi and broken-down that it sounds like an
impromptu sing-along, recorded by chance. Near the
end, Wayne says that he, 'Ain't got anything else
to say to you motherfuckers,' and Baby starts talking
and, suddenly, he remembers some other stuff he could
say and delivers the most perfect couplet of his
entire career: 'I don't come in peace. I come with
the piece.'

David Banner ft. J Da Groova and Mississippi Shawty - 'Bring It On'

-- Like the first time you hear: NWA, or hardcore
or Xenakis--- something that you've totally totally
totally never heard before, that you can barely
place in the musical continuum as you know it,
and it sounds totally perfect, but not for any
reasons that you knew music could sound perfect

-- There's this really weird blew-out keyboard
melody sort of thing that anchors the whole thing.
Is it on purpose or do they just not know that the
keyboard sounds are supposed to be hidden away if
they actually sound like keyboards, unless you're
some kind of gay space rapper? And under it is the
snappp snapppp beat that sounds pretty normal. But
it's just so nothing-I've-ever-heard-before. I've
never fucking heard this shit before. It doesn't
sound even that much like the rest of Southern rap.

-- David Banner talks about tires, guns, switching
lanes, not giving a fuck, jewellery, shooting people,
Mississippi, bringing it on, not being scared. (It's
okay because the song before it on the CD is serious
and it's about how America is bad and needs to become

-- J Da Groova talks about people screaming, representing
Mississipi thug nigga, getting head from bitches who
are drinking Remy Red, the Southern United States.

-- Mississippi Shawty says he's 13! He still says he's
going to attack people. He finishes quick but he's
awesome. (The best part of Southern rap is hearing
the different vocal styles--- like, there's so much
difference between Lil Jon and Lil Flip and Lil Wayne,
but not much difference between, say, Jay-Z and Nas
and---- you know! Because ---, you know? Even David
Banner is barkbarkbark and Mississippi Shawty sounds
like the girl in the Welch's commercials!)

Nelly and P. Diddy and Murphy Lee (I'm not sure who actually owns it and who it features or if it's just the three of them working together equally) - 'Shake Ya Tailfeather'

-- I like the start of the video, where they're all
saying what kind of girls they----- Actually, there's
a part before that. There's a bunch of shots of, I guess,
Miami and beautiful girls wearing different types of
material. And the waitress at the little sort of bar
thing that Nelly and Diddy and Murphy are all sitting
at. The waitress says, 'Nelly?' And he talks to her and
then, 'Diddy?' And she asks Murphy Lee, in Spanish, what
his name is.

But, anyways, they're all saying what kind of girl
they like. Nelly likes girls with pretty faces, I
think. A girl walks by and he says, 'Like that one'
or something.

Diddy says he likes girls with big legs. And a
beautiful girl walks by with big upper legs. It's
weird. I didn't know that was something special but
it's neat how thick her legs are, like Chun Li's or
something, but not all muscular but not fatty or
anything---- I guess the fat in them gives them the
beautiful shape but the skin is tight and she had
beautiful African skin, polished up.

Murphy Lee likes girls with round bums and a girl
with a huge bum walked by.

-- Nelly is probably better than anyone you could
compare him to (ZZ Top, Ludacris). He's good at this.

-- Diddy - 6/10.

-- Murphy - 8/10.

-- It is like the first summer that you notice that
girls have one banana-shaped (large bananas) shaped
bulge of fat below their navel. And two dimples on
their lower back. And---- I lost my train of thought. It
was stupid anyways.

-- I want to hear this song on the radio.

-- It's August fifth.
