im a bit confused on how it works, do i have to convert the iso to wbfs first on the computer
or do i partion my memory card (can i do this or does it have to be a external hard drive?) and then just rip the game directly to my system from dics?

you need to convert the ISO file to WBFS first with most hacked WII configurations.
You'll need to hack your Wii first if you havent already.
Most of the time you need a USB hard drive of some kind to load them onto.
If you have a newer version (i forget which one) of WII, or if you have updated your old Wii's OS its harder to hack it.

You download the game ISO then open WBFS Manager and format your external as WBFS using the Format button after choosing the appropriate letter for the drive. You next press the Load button then click Browse on the left side and choose the game ISO and click Add to Drive. After it finishes you need to download USB Loader GX and put it on a SD card and launch it via the Homebrew Channel with your external plugged in. Your games will be displayed and you press A on the one you want to play then press A on the disc icon and it will launch.

That depends if there is a language patch already released. If it's a fairly popular game then you can find it online by searching Google.

Your DVD drive can't read Wii games.

Though what you could do is use USB Loader GX to install the game in the Wii's disc drive to the external. It's the plus icon at the bottom of the screen.

I never liked the ones for the computer.
I used to play the shit out of sim city for the sneaky though.
Roller coaster tycoon was my shit though.
