help with shroom kit instructions.

Hi. I'm just a first time shroom grower and I need a little help with some casing/substrate issues. I purchased a shroom kit witch include a box, the substate, a big mixing bag, a bag of mushroom spawn, the casing, and the casing starter.
I just finished boiling the substrate and I'm will shortly be mixing the spawn into it by combining both in the plastic bag. I'm then supposed to put the substrate in the box and cover it for 5 days.... what I'm unclear on though is whether I empty the mixture from the bag into the box, or keep it in the bag and use that bag as a liner for the box -- and how wet should this substrate be? I believe it contains a lot of straw. any help would be appreciated!

I would leave it in the bag. In my opinion, changing it from one container to another would open it up to major contamination problems.

The procedure you described sounds very risky unless you have a flow hood or a glove box.
