where i work theres this shit we have to use on dishes and stuff and its a powder u mix with water and i was wondering if u couldnt flow some of that with water over the grain ur about to use instead of pc'in it then jus rinse that off or wait till it dries would this work?

Sanitizer? No. Good for cleaning your jars with in between uses though.

If you want to do grains without a PC have a look at the hominy thread.

try canned hominy,
works fine just steamed,
no pc needed.

swim was going to do this:

soak millet (grain) with water/h202 24 hours
drain mixture, rinse, 6 minutes total in the microwave 2on/1off
then 1 hour of steam

swim says swim was going to do this untill he got a pc recently (today)

to answer your question the water powder mix wouldnt sterilize the grain b/c of endspores which is the reason most that use grain recommend pc'ing

you can just steam rye in 1/2 pints for 90 minutes and itll be fine
