I want to make a spore print without airtight ovenware

Ive never made a spore print and I need too. The tek I read calls for baking your papers in an airtight ovenable container. Not only do I not have one .... ive never heard of or seen one. Will some friendly soul get me through this spore printing. :syringe:

There are many teks, shirley just wrote a nice one.
Basically get some foil, swap with alcohol. Turn off the AC put gloves on. Work quickley, remove the cap from the stem. place on foil cover with clean canning jar.

yeah but didnt that call for bakeing your paper in an air tight container in the oven or something?

Baking is not necessary. Just wipe your foil/card/whatever with isopropyl alcohol and allow it to dry before printing.

Baking your card in tin foil would work as well .

Also after they drop the spores and you remove the caps, let the print "setup" for another day :wink:

I never baked or sterilized paper I take a sheet out of the middle of a new package.sterilize a tupperware container with alcohol let dry then I cut the sheet of paper so it will fit inside the tupperware container then I close it up untill I have the cap to put on the paper and I let sit untill I have a good print off the cap.

Note: this tek is only good for one spore print at a time if you want to do more then on at a time it's better that you listen to the canines(dog,dawg)

yeah I saw teks out there that use the spore drop tek but I like yours the best lil kuss because it is easier to make and you don't have to use cage to hold the caps on but did you ever have a cap fall off the nail into the water before?
