YAY! THEY CAME IN TODAY!
    #1773014 - 08/02/03 02:10 PM (20 years, 7 months ago)

My peyote seeds just came in today!   :grin:    I've already planted them.  They should start sprouting in a few days/week.  I would post a picture but I don't have a digital camera or a scanner.  :shake:  Oh well...

woah, nice man. good luck with that peyote! It will give you years of enjoyment. Thing is, by the time it's big enough, you'll be too attached to it to eat it! Are you going to graft it?

No, I would much rather wait and let it grow naturally than graft it.  Waiting makes it much more worthwhile to me.

I have a question:  I have a Ganja plant growng and it is starting to grow flower buds.  The thing is, it is growing both male  and female :crazy2: flowers.  I have just clipped off all of the balls , but is there anything I can do to inhibit their growth?  Or do I have to just clip them when they appear :mad2:?  Thanks for the info.

I thought that only worked if you sprayed girebelic (spelling) acid on the already female flowers. That's what I've read anyway...

So if I let the plant pollinate itself, will it produce all female seeds? Thanks for the spelling.

Most of the nansnook people said they'd never eat a peyote. They're sacred and endangered. Eat some San pedro.

I think the GA will do more harm than good, it'll put the plant into a fast growth phase that'll stretch it out and turn it to shit. I wouldn't spray it now.

Well, I don't know whether or not it started out male or female. I'll just keep cutting of the balls.
I'll try to post pics of the peyote seedlings when they start coming up.

They're endangered in the wild, yes, but if he's growing them from seeds, he most likely got them from a grower, so it's not impacting the wild population.

And yah, they're sacred.  They're sacred because you -eat them- and commune with the spirits and such.   Just as the Host is sacred, so is the Peyote -- and you eat both of them to partake of them.

Why would ya want to eat lophophora?
They are beautifull plants with long maturity and gorgeous blooms.

The alkaloid profile is similar to many other species and there are MUCH better trips out there.

In my youth, I experimented with them three times first two times I got so sick in the first 20 minutes that it ruined the whole experience. The third time I only got mildy sick and the trip was not as good as I had hoped for, intense but lacking somehow!

Just grow them, you will be much more pleased and infinitely blessed for having fostered the life and power within them!
