Creating a flowhood with a 6" inline duct fan.

I'm sure this has been asked, but i couldn't find exactly what i was looking for. I currently have a 6" inline duct fan exactly like this one: 6" Inline duct fan .
From what i gather, using this kind of fan can work (correct me if i'm wrong), however i have no idea what HEPA filter would work with it. The only information i know about it is that it delivers 440 CFM (Which is information from the ebay poster).
My question is which HEPA filter could i apply to this fan, if any? Thanks in advance!

Crap! Turns out i have a different fan. http://www.ebay.com/itm/6-Duct-Blower-Centrifugal-Inline-Exhaust-Fan-For-Grow-Room-Carbon-Air-Filter-/230686070056?
Only 206 CFM @ 0 static pressure. Too low now i'm assuming? Not sure what it is at .8 pressure!

I have been looking into blowers for my flow hood build and saw these types of inline fans as attractive fairly inexpensive options. But, I couldn't find any info on how they perform at various static pressures at all. Which leads me to believe they probably don't perform as well as the squirrel cage blowers that are clearly made to blow against some static pressure as the manufactures give much more supporting data to show how they perform in a range of static pressures. That doesn't mean that the inline ones won't work if you manage to get the right size to match your filter though since there are build threads with them used. If anyone has a link that has that info for these inline fans that would be great.

I personally have no experience with the fans you speak of. But if you are looking for an attractive and cost effective solution, you should call around to your local HVAC repair shops and see if they have any forced air blowers lying around. I called about ten before starting to get hits and finally landed on a shop that regularly sold them for cheap. 2, 1/2 hp 4 speeds for $25. Be sure to break them down and clean them well.
Do not get too hung up on the blower match. If you get a sufficiently sized blower for the filter (in the general range) you can dial it in by adjusting the incoming air. I have a piece of paper taped over part of my pre-filter to achieve proper flow.

You can always dial down the flow of air. My fan could run a full room 4x4 HEPA filter but I dont need that much space currently so its turned down to run a 2ft x 18in filter instead.

And go to HVAC places they are really chill. I got my super powerful blower for 50 because they thought it was totally brunt out. Turns out it just needed to be re-grounded internally lol.

Wow,
I certainly paid more than that!!
But for a laminar hood you would probably need the M8 or even M10

Specs Sheet.
Maybe so, I think it would work with most 1x2's with a working SP of .5-1".
But to answer you question OP, I can't seem to find the specs for that specific blower. I would be very weary of using it. It's much easier to match a blower to a filter after you have the filter (not the other way around). If you're serious about your flowhood, you can find filters HERE. BTW, the prices include shipping.
Hope this helps. -Meno

Fungi Perfecti's HEPA filters are on par with much more expensive ones. I had my Laminar flow hood maintenance guy check out my most recent one and he said he would put them in our professional 15 grand hoods if not for 4 little tabs that my manufacturer felt was needed for no reason.
