ok thanks, i saw LOTS of Panaeolus subbalteatus, Psilocybe cyanescens, Psilocybe semilanceata, Psilocybe stuntzii
after i dry them, can i put them in a plastic bag?.... how long should i dry them in the sun for?

Ontario.... Canada... Its verry wet out and lots of moss at this1 spot, i see lots of veriteys of small brown shrooms

would it be better for an ID next time if i take a pictur of it before i pick them? so you can se where it grew?

Yeah, that would help. Also get a picture of the mushroom's stem and gills, that's important. I really doubt you found semis/cyans- it's gonna be another month or 2(or 3) before the start fruiting. There's some VERY dangerous look alikes when dealing with PNW mushrooms. I would post picture of every mushroom you find and get a good solid ID before putting anything in your mouth. You don't want to eat a Galerina.

yea, i saw some semis/cyans but they were VERRY small and young, but maybe im mistaken

you found none of the mushrooms you think you found, what you did was go around and assume theres only a few mushroom out there and many of them have to be psilocybes. you applied a few names you read somewhere to mushrooms you found, why do i know you did not find them, because A. you dont even know what a russla is, and B, NONE of the mushrooms you mentioned grow east of the rockies (except panaeolus subbaltaetus which only grows on dung/straw).

scratch that, semilancaeta grows in ontario, but in the chill of autum. late sept-early nov, after rains and for 2 weeks max.
earlier at higher elevations, and higher latitudes, also earlier fruiting (summer) occurs in north europe.
i reckon what you found was a mess of inocybes, conocybes and galerenas. probably got a few deadly ones in there too if you were finding things that looked like psilocybes in ontario in the summer.

i'd dry out the palstic bag and eat it.......before i would dry out and ingest those or the other mushrooms you saw.
seriously, i know exactly that its plastic.

If your camera really sucks try your scanner if you have one.
cut it in half and post the scan with a top scan and a gill scan.
