the evil has returned
    #1772699 - 08/02/03 12:03 PM (20 years, 8 months ago)

over the past few weeks in my old town, whenever i drive past mcdonalds ive sensed an ancient evil, at first i assumed it was mcdonalds...

but then i felt it comming from a plant in the garden, evrytime i drove by there was this plant that something deep inside told me "datura"

but after a while i realized it was a sunflower.

then today while driving by i noticed the real evil, 2 feet away from the sunflowers, several massive purple trumpet flowers, doubly flowered actually. the image is burned into my retnas. the plant i senced, but did not see, an evil so strong i could feel it brooding for almost a month without seeing it, and now i have seen it.
it was datura metel. no mistake about it, it has creeped into my world again. many of you might think its too bizare to be a true story, but i also know many among you know EXACTLY what im talking about. you know the evil and understand how that evil called to me so clearly that i knew what it was before seeing it.
the evil, the power of the plant.
its back.

Its only evil if you think that it is. Sure it can be toxic in high doses, but I can think of many people/governments that are much more evil than datura.

then why did i sence datura in the area for weeks before i actually saw it? why did i feel a crawling evil and EXPECT to see datura?
and then weeks later, in that exact spot see it? are you saying that smoke does not come from fire?

take LOTR for example, the ring being datura, the evil that men feel, to be drawn to its power. its like that, unmistakably dark and twisted, insidious.
i dont expect i am in any harm, but that static malice inside, waiting to be used, wanting to be found. its so powerful, ive never had a plant literally communicate with me before.
ive never been so sure of a pressence before, and then to find i was right......
well, there you go.

that is weird. there is definitely something up with datura. i wouldn't say it is evil.

last week, i was sitting around my place with nothing to do. i logged on here and saw entheo's post about different types of datura. i was sitting around later that day and out of the blue i thought "maybe i should go to the library and look for some datura." i never go to the public library, but i had some old magazines to get rid of, so i headed to the library. lo and behold, there was a wilted, dying datura plant at the edge of the parking lot. i took a cutting of it home and it is growing nicely now.

i have found three other daturas in the last 4 days as well and have taken cuttings from them.

FUCK datura...just because its somthing free that will mess you up does not mean you should try it. Honestly, you dose on that shit, you lose control and don't come back for a while. It's just not worth messing with AT ALL, smoke some weed, eat some papers, eat some shrooms, get drunk, but don't fuck with datura.

too late. i've already dosed, but that was many years ago. it only took me two days to return to my normal state. now, i just grow it because it is a beautiful plant.

I have to agree, something is "up" with datura. Lady Datura has a presence, anbd she makes it felt. I wouldn't say it's evil, it's dark for sure, but not evil.

well, maybe she is a bundled up reflection of the evil dormant in man.
an extraegonal source of the inrtaegonal corrupton inhearant in all who live, in that sence, not evil, but an important containment mechanism unignorable and as potent as time, a pandoras box.

perhaps not evil, but is the opening of such a thing (consiously)?
are the combined evils of man summed in a single transending act?
would not do do this act then be the utmost evil?
the evil then, is in me, the plant calls to it.
or perhaps it calls to the plant, to be released

Is it only people who have experience with datura that feel it's presence? I have experience, but I never feel what you people are talking about. There is something kind of "off" about datura though. Not exactly evil, but far from good. As if it has a personality. Beautiful to behold, but only through consumption can you reallize her true nature.

There is a sense of power about this plant. You can feel it even without knowing what the plant is.

Datura does have this aura about it i got 3 plants growing now in a clay pot i seen some poppy seed growing in the pot (my mistake) and the mini poppy plants got about 1 true leaf and then died all of the poppy seedling in the pot like 30 of them! i was looking forward to having some pods along with datura. I think datura killed it not wanting to share it patch of earth.

It is NOT only those who have experience with ingestign the plant that
can feel her presence! I get the same reaction arround Jimpson weed and sometimes can sense it at great distances.
But I have to admitt, Weedy hemp tends to announce it's presence as well, allbeit to a much lesser degree.
I don't trust Datura in any form, she is very heavy handed and her life force is built arround destruction and death.
I avoid it, even at the botanical gardens, It is very beautifull to look at but I can't bring myself to touch it.
I don't really see intentional evil as much as I see a black void, a deep black well, or black hole, devoid of intentions but cruely impersonal and dark!

I intend to make friends with D. inoxia, as we have had some not-too-friendly experience with each other in the past. They are an absolutely beatiful plant, and deserve respect, and what better way to show my respect than to add it to my garden.

And those are some gorgeous plants you got there Eric.

A siren song, eh? Not much unlike the aura (or presence of an entity if you would prefer) that you were criticizing as being a product of "kinda fucked up people" in the "Datura should I get some?" post. Oh well, I guess we all have our quirks.
