Problem: Pint jars with millet look soggy. how do i....
    #1773022 -

now im getting pissed.

first i soaked some white millet seed in water for aprox. 12-14 hours. loaded 1 pint jars 3/4 full and p.cooked for 1 hour.

that particular batch came out way dried out, kernels exploded, etc.

so I did another batch, with a diff. method which was putting 140 ML seed to 80 ML of water in each jar.

P.cooked for 90 minutes and it's now done, but the jars look a litle soggy.

The seed actually looks purfect, meaning it's expanded quite a bit and no exploded kernels.

however, there seems to be some water in there (duh) but I'm paranoid it's too much.

I mean, the seed has expanded so much i can't even shake the things. maybe i put in too much then....

what should i do about the soggyness?

How long did you drain the kernels for on the first attempt after soaking?

hmmmmmmm wacky shit, strained them in a wire mesh strainer? and did you cover with tinfoil and the injection holes with something to reduce water loss?
