ok so my friends jars are done, two more are 95%. He is planning on spawning to some high mountain compost. He was wondering how long his finished jars can sit because he his going on vacation for 3 days, and he still has to order the compost.

they should be cool for like a week i would guess. I would order it before you go if possible. Ive noticed some pf style jars get funky if you let them sit too long, but waiting some time can also help make sure htey are colonized internally also. How long do you think the compost will take? I personally wouldnt let it sit for more than 2 weeks, but you could prolly stick it in the fridge too

a FOAF has 2 jars he never used and they are like 2 months old and still are very viable, no pins have formed or anything. So they are probably good for a while in your case, especially of 2 are 95%..order the compost now, and do it when you get back.
