s. coryne is indeed active but it has a very low mescaline content. probably not worth any attempts to use as an entheogen.

yeah i know its some what active but like you said not really enough to try any extractions.
But yea i shoulda clarified this.

I think both the 1st and the 2nd ones are S. coryne. They are beautiful cacti, once you allow them them to get huge. I have no idea about their alkaloid content.

The 1st has all the spines the same if you look, while the real coryne has longer dark spines on the top. This makes differenfe?
