sources of agar

I am ready to try some agar teks, after some time of cultivation using cakes/casing. My question is, where is everyone getting their agar from? Also, is there a certain type I need to be looking for? If anyone could tell me the types of stores, or online sources I could obtain agar from, I would greatly appreciate it.

My friend buys his from a local health food store. A couple of the Shroomery sponsers sell it if you'd prefer to buy online.

Can someone pls tell me the differences between bacteriological grade agar, potato dextrose & malt agar. Basically, I am gathering the components for my first PF Tek system and I want to know the right agar to purchase in the case of contamination.

the bacterological agar is for mycelium that is already growing. if you get the bacterological agar, you will have to mix some nutrients in with it.
the potato dextrose and malt agars already have the nutrients in them. the pda agar is what i have come to prefer when germinating spores, but sometimes i mix pda and malt agar (50:50).
