your attitude and your outlook on life truly matters
    #1769134 - 08/01/03 01:40 PM (14 years, 3 months ago)

Everything you do makes a difference. Every thought you think, every comment you make, every action you take, in some way will change things for you and your world.

\You move through life, leaving consequences in your wake. And the quality of life is determined largely by the nature of those consequences. Even the smallest things make a difference. And those small things can quickly add up.

That's why your attitude and your outlook on life truly matter so much. Because they have a powerful influence over what kind of difference you are making, in the big decisions and the small ones too.

See the world as a beautiful place, filled with positive possibilities. And without even realizing it, your actions, your thoughts, your consequences will take on the color of that positive perspective.

Everything, every moment, every person, every stirring in your heart matters. Let yourself love and value life, and be overjoyed at the positive difference that each of your moments can make.

So when one person wishes another "Have a nice day," their day ACTUALLY changes?

FOR THE RECORD: " I now wish every creature in this universe to have a nice life." *whew* Now I never need to say that banality again. Yet, I am certain that tomorrow people will still be brutally murdered and that my pathetic wish will have ZERO impact.

What he says is true.

He didn't say your outlook on life changed other people's lives.

If you live with your thoughts in darkness and despair, then that will be your outlook. If you live positive and wanting to overcome obstacles, it will be easier to overcome them. Your thoughts dictate how you view reality. If I thought to myself everyday, wow, my life sucks, and death is the only way out, chances are eventually I would do something rash. Your thoughts create your reality.

i speak from my own experience. i will not propse to you that my way is best. the decision is up to you. if you find some point which may be suitable for you, then carry out experiments for yourself. if you find that it is of no use, then you can discard it.

Well your outlook on life affects your health (or it could be vice versa). Even got a nice link to back it up

The people scoring in the bottom third for positive emotions were three times more likely to catch a cold that those scoring in the top third.

How happy would you be if you were 3 times more likely than everyone else to get sick?

One time I was looking at a turd on the ground, and I'm like, screw you turd, why don't you go get a job as a security guard or something, and then a couple years later I was walking through an entrance and there was no security, save for a turd on the ground. I'm not sure if it was him or not, but it was pretty spooky.

I said it could also be the other way around. Either way it's still interesting.

Either they take you seriously and it brightens their mood up, or they think "i fuckin hate it when people say meaningless shit like that", and it puts them in a cynical mood, or it does nothing noticeable at all because of its lack of sincerity which makes it no more of an act of communication than burping.

does what you don't do count too?

should we hold civil rights fence sitters accountable for the actions of those they didn't speak out against?

I don't see why not, other that it places the burden on me to not be lazy, which seems to be an intrinsic quality of me... and the most of the rest too.

so the plantaton owners aren't to be held accountable because they didn't "consciously" turn their heads?

on a different note, what about all the radom shit that you happen to see and hear or even smell or touch? idiot savants seem to suggest that this shit IS stored somewhere, so does it clutter up my brain like porn and games clutter up my hard drive? is death a reboot?
