Your post is a poorly sequenced hodgepodge of horse shit. You open with an absurd strawman argument, follow with untrue ad-hominem attacks, and to top it all off, you make the laughable assertion that OC doesn't trust medical science because he isn't receiving treatment for cancer.

Medical science is honest. Many of its technologies have extremely high success rates, and raise the amount of time a human can remain healthy by a considerable amount, but cancer has never been a disease that medical science has produced treatments for with high success rates and side-effects that don't destroy your quality of life.

Maybe OC would rather not blow all of his money on treatments when the odds of survival are against his favor, and treatment will bring on a new sort of hell, a hell that many people live out their final days in.

Well he was advised to go to emergency room because he didn't want to blow money on tests like his last experience.  I am not making this shit up dude.  He posted it take it or leave it.

So you tout medical science, then say they suck at fixing cancer.  Whatever.  I am not even going to explore vaccinations and things like SV-40 because you probably think that vaccinations are just great too.

"Treatment" as you call it is largely relief of symptoms.

Let's take your Xanax example.  You feel the symptom coming on, you pop a half a milligram.  Problem solved.  For now.

Well it's kind of funny OP trusts science and thinks

LunarEclipse,

You've been trolling here for a few weeks and it's getting old. If all you have to say is about the OP and not about the topic, then shut up or go post in OTD about the people there. I'm sure they'll welcome your personal observations with observations of their own.

In this forum, stick to the topic. Leave the people out of it.

Consider this your warning.

2) You can't have an abortion no matter how much you don't want a child.
3) You can't have a certain plant in your possession or you'll get locked up with a rapist and a murderer.

4) We need a smaller, less-intrusive government.

Was reading about Steve Jobs. Appears he did not have the deadlier form of pancreatic cancer that 95% of people who are diagnosed get. He was in the favorable 5% - if treated early. As a Buddhist and vegetarian he decided to self treat and lost.

There are conflicting stories on treatment:

Con: Cancer medication is a trillion dollar a year business so naturally unscrupulous types will fudge test results.

Pro: Some cancers definitely respond to chemo - sometimes a cure, sometimes to prolong the inevitable.

Pro & Con: Alternative medicine is rife with survival anecdotes, but if the data was solid, then it would not be alternative.

Con: There are articles that some chemo/surgery may exacerbate/spread cancer.

Pro: Surgeries often do not get all cancer cells, but sometime slow it down considerably and sometimes stop it cold.

On and on the merry-ground-goes. :cuckoo:

Sometimes in the middle.

My grandpa lived to 96. He was a long-liver.

My cousin Ernie died at age 8. He was a chopped-liver.

I heard IBM is designing a new electric typewriter. They're calling it the Ronald Reagan series. It has no colon and no memory. :hehehe:

And then you would look like an idiot for placing a semi-colon in the middle of two halves of the body that can't exist independently of each other. :yesnod:

My brother in law had a heart attack yesterday.  That's all I have to contribute.

Yup, he'd complained of shortness of breath and arm pain and went to the docs and took the tests and they said they couldn't find anything wrong.

So my sis comes home, he's lying on the couch and says hey dear I'm having a heart attack.  She says why didn't you call 911 and he says, I was waiting for you to get home.

She calls 911 and they take him in. Turns out it was a heart attack and he had one artery 100% clogged and another one 70%. They say he'll be fine though so he should be dead by tomorrow. :curbyourenthusiasm:

OP: If I were you, I'd ask the hippies about using cannabis and other herbs to cure cancer.

But you're not me so do what you need to do.
