Most people commit suicide because they are more afraid of life than death.

In the past i almost committed suicide on myself. I'm not ashamed of it since the way we live now a days, causes people to lose faith in live. And most of the world lacks the interest to REALLY do something to help each other..
Back to topic...
But i didn't do it because the hurt i felt from knowing from what it would do to others was too overwelming. At that time it sucked because i was already on the edge of the balcony. And i could see myself falling face down in my mind. There was no fear of dying..
I know that when the moment of death will come. I shall not fear it. And for the lion attack, i would fear the pain the lion would cause me. And not the fact that i would be over soon.....

Will you be employing physical pain Swami, in the course of the challenge?
Sounds like you are looking forward to that part, you little masochist!

"I stand by my stance that fear of the natural and inevitable is silly."
Well Atomic and Swami, I think you would both admit that its a silly silly situation we live through.

The human body does not want to die, and physiologically attempts to preserve itself. When you burn alive, your body curls into a foetal position. This is one main way that policemen identify whether a person was alive before they were immolated. When you fall, your body also pulls into a foetal position to attempt to minimize the damage. Blood clots to try to prevent death by bleeding....

Twirling said: I think suicide is a good example of people who might not be afraid of death. Some people who are deeply suicidle don't fear death because they don't care. Some people honestly don't care because they feel "nothing could be worse".
I don't fear death as I'm typing this right now, but I know that I instinctivly have a fear of death, and that it can surface if I was put in the right (wrong?) situation. I feel comfortable with the idea of dying someday, and that's good enough for me.
fucking exactly. I would actually like to die shit I will be so happy if a lightening bolt comes down and smites me, but I would NEVER kill myself. It is against human nature. It's my blood and its there for a reason. I just have a death wish =D
