Gosh.... I didn't see this coming.
Article.
While cosenting adults should be able to sleep with whomever they please, Americans don't seem to like anything being forced upon them.

They should make a TV series about people who have colostomies.

Terrible pun! Agh!
But seriously, what was being forced on them? It seems to me that "approval" of gays is high when the homosexuality issue is all out of sight and mind, which is silly. I mean, really it was just the repealing of an unjust law. Could it have been done without words like "homosexual" and "sodomy" jumping out of the newspaper at unsuspecting straight citizens?
I wonder, though--were people really getting arrested for/charged with consensual sodomy? If not, maybe the gay rights activists should have picked a different battle.

For the most part it was an additional charge to throw on if you caught people fucking in public. In the case in question, though, they got caught when cops raided their house for some reason that escapes me right now.

Asked whether same-sex relations between consenting adults should be legal, 48 percent said yes; 46 percent said no.
i'm wondering why, how, in what way, based on what, can anyone answer, "no" to this question... is there any logical foundation at all? are these people thinking at all? what goes on inside the head of a "no"-er? is it just blind 'christian' intolerance? what is going on with these people?

what really makes me laugh is the thought that they would send someone to prison for as punishment for sodomy
what kind of punishment is that?
thats kinda like sentencing a pot head to an all expense paid trip to amsterdam for 5 years...

There was no prison term involved. It was a misdemeanor that had about a $200 fine and a night in jail basically. As far as the people that said no to whether it should be legal or not, I would think most of them said that for religious beliefs, and the rest are just idiots.

No, it would be more like sentencing a pot head to be have buds stuffed down his throat with a plunger, while being beaten bloody, on a daily basis.

No problem...id regurgitate them, and then smoke them all after the beating!
