got up early and hit the rice paddies and here are some of this mornings treasures.
Again I had to delete about fifty fotos of this mornings hunt and aftermath due to blurred images, not working camera right.
I seem to get one in every four photos with this digital. It will soon be for sale. I am really pissed because today yahoo.com had it listed for as low as $300.00. When i get home, Ken's Camera Shop on 2nd street in downtown Seattle better pay me a refund or I will go ballistic on them for cheating me by this over priced piece of shit.
Cool[pix 5000 has less in it then my camera. My friend here has one and it never takes a bad picture. Neither did the 2 megapixel camera I sold to shroomamigo in Bucharest.
Here are todays cubbies images.

Some Gill Shots
Another group of gill shots
A slight bluing in th e stem. More noticible in the fresh shroom but the photo programs here are not very good for correcting color.
I will correct this oine after I come home in October.
Some beautiful nice sized healthy specimens
Some more of this morning's short trip to the rice paddies
More spread out on paper
and finally some specimen caps producing prints on linen paper.
From Koh Samui with Love.

Alrighty then, wow! Ok mj, I have to ask, and be all super noob right now. How did you find all those mushrooms at that stage of maturity? You know the nice hearty young ones, with the veil intact.
Like this one.. I go at 7-8am also, sometimes a little earlier, but is it possible im finding old mature mushrooms from the day before? And the very few nice young ones I find are much newer?

Hey there, Those are pretty nice pictures....a lot easier than my 35mm F3HP to get pictures up on the the 'net fast. Possibly there is one control or switch you are missing or unfamiliar with that is causing the camera to not autofocus. Maybe you need to lightly press the shutter or give the image just an instant more to be focused. What is the model type? No one likes to struggle with technology or optics...I remember one control on one of my early cameras that I discovered by rereading the owner's manual 2 years after I got the unit. Why don't you check the manual to see which area of the viewfinder that is used for the focus and/or aperture. It looked like in some of your pictures in another post that the background was in focus instead of the foreground....particularly the ones in brighter light (outside). Also, in this post the first two images the grass (green is center of the visible spectrum) seems to be in focus just slightly more than the cubes. In the third shot (appears to be taken indoors) where the light is different the cubes are reflecting the most light and are razor sharp. The fifth picture down has a very bright background yet the gills are in focus (also there is not much difference in the focal point) so the area used for focusing must be in the middle area. Good luck with the rest of your pics. Best regards, King Bolete
