I'm in the valley near Petaluma/Santa Rosa, not on the coast.
There were originally 3 mushrooms. 2 were picked by my roommate (dried, but not eaten yet). The mushrooms were very closely clumped on the same large woodchip.

I had a hard time determining if there was bluing on the first 2 mushrooms 'cause it was very weak if it was present at all. The bluing chunk of stem I'm holding was attached of one of the mushrooms my roommate picked. I found it still attached to the wood chunk several days later.

I would do a spore print but if you aren't seeing blueing, probably not... But I could be wrong

The one in the photo doesn't look like it has developed it's spores yet.

They are Psilocybe allenii. Just doesn't look like they matured yet, so hopefully the patch comes back.

I haven't picked this one, just photographed it. The others were allowed to mature, but I did not get photographs or photos of the prints, which seemed a little light-brown and lacked any purplish quality, that's why I had some questions about the ID especially when they weren't bluing. The myc is extremely visible, and seems to be going strong, though the pictures don't really get the right angle to show the woodchip this is growing on.
We've actually had a dry spell through almost the entire life of this little shroom (It was a baby when the other 2 were picked), last night was the first bit of rain around here in a while. Also, it's dipped down to 28 at night, so it kinda speaks to how hearty this little goober really is.
