Aborting Brasilians...

OK, so with this most recent batch of brasilians that SWIM is growing, they've been getting about 2.5-3 inches long, then aborting. This has never happened in other batches of SWIM's, so what could be wrong with these? Harvesting the aborted ones is cool and all, still get the produce, but getting some prints off of these would be nice...
I'm open to any advice! Thanks!

yea, they get misted 1 or 2 times a day, and have moist vermiculite on top of the cakes...

I had that exact problem with Brazilians. I was using WBS.

They got to to 1 1/2 inches max then aborted black, it happened to  every shroom on  every flush.

I put it down to an invisible contam. But now someone else has experienced it, it makes me wonder.

It wasn't down to incompetence makes a change :wink: As I had 4 other strains in the exact same conditions all do fine.  :confused:

I have a new batch colonizing straw as we speak to rule out the possibility of the WBS.

well...cant say I'm glad that it's happened to someone else, because it kindof sucks, but at least I know its not just me. About other strains, I have B+ and EQ in the same grow chamber, so of course they're getting the same condtions as the BR, so who knows? bad genes or something...

What substrate were you using? Where did you get your spores?

I used Wild Bird Seed as substrate, and my spores came from Ralphster.
