Golden balls in PF jar

Greetings all,
I've recently noticed a collection of little golden balls in a tiny area of one BRF/PF jar. After searching for a reference on it and finding nothing, I decided to ask in the forum.
There looked to be between 25 to 50 of the little balls. They were all clustered together with a few errant ones a little further off. They are located near the lid, underneath the verm layer on top, although they could be infesting that layer, I haven't opened the jar.
I've watched them for a few days now and have noticed them start to migrate further into the jar. The cake itself looks perfectly healthy. A beautiful white and fully colonized. I haven't noticed any odours wafting up but then again I haven't opened the jar.
Anyway, I would appreciate any input on whether this is a contam or not and if it is what it is. If I haven't left enough info please ask and I'll add as much more as questions can stimulate. By the way, I don't have access to a camera.
Thanks.

Your cake is starting to pin, these 'golden balls' are primordia.

If that's the case, solid. I had thought that might be the case but I couldn't find any pictures that looked at all like these little balls.
Anyway, thanks, my mind is now less heavy.

Just wanted to update my previous post. I dunked and refridgerated the half pint PF cake for about 20 hours or so. It was then moved to the terrarium. It didn't do very much for a few days and then started to pin and soon a few mature mushrooms had appeared. I examined the cake a little more closely at this point and saw what looked like a slightly off colour fuzz. I scraped it and found it green underneath. I junked the whole cake rather than risk the contam of green mold. Before junking it I took a very close look, for reference purposes. The little yellow balls were still there. They were definitely not primordia (I have since seen quite a few pins and now know the difference). Still not sure what they were. Unfortunately, I still have no access to a camera (I did try and scan the jar, but that didn't work very well at all). The golden balls kind of looked like "pin mold" but aren't black. Anyway, there you go, that's all I've got. Edit------------ OK, I'm now pretty certain it is Aspergillus that manifests as yellow. Sure am glad I junked that cake but wish I had junked it sooner.
