Ok, here's exactly what I'm going to do, please inform me if there's anything wrong...
Mix verm/brf/water in a ratio of 2:1:1
Put in glass cups with 3 layers of tin foil(the bottom 2 have innoculation holes)
Put in PC for an hour
Let cool for about 10 hours
Peel back the top layer of aluminum foil 1 hole at a time and quickly innoculate then tape back up, to reduce air exposure.
Once all holes have been innoculated in, and covered, poke a hole in the center with a screwdriver(that I will flame steralize) and quickly put some polyfill in it.
Tape up everything except the polyfill hole so I have an otherwise air tight seal
Keep in darkness 'till fully colonized
Once colonized, give about 10 hours of indirect sunlight a day untill fruiting
Take cake out once the veils brake on the mushrooms and harvest
Return cakes to glasses, fill with water for 10 hours, drain and wait for more fruits
Fill glass with water again after every fruit? or every other fruit? or whenever the cake looks dry?

You should dunk/cold shock for 24 hours between flushes. And my friend says not to use polyfill, it'll dry out prolly. He's experienced similar scenarios before. Dunk/cold shock for 12 hours before birthing. So yes dunk/cold shock before every "fruit".

Oh yea, I'm doing invitro growth, so no birthing, and someone locked my other thread
Ok, well then I can't think of another way of letting the cakes breath, so I'll just make a completely airtight seal and see how it goes
Thanks for all your help mr sleep, one more thing, I can't cold shock it, dunking will be sufficient, right?

Dunking in a atmosphere that is not cold could attract contams, try to make an ice box of some sort to chill the jars but not freeze them. Good luck.

u cant think of another way to let them breathe huh, how bout the way that everybody else who uses cakes does?. add urself a 1/2inche layer of str8 dry verm on the top to act as a filter, and then u already have the innoculation holes to let air in

what's the verdict on this one? Will the verm layer protect from contams well enough? I'll put like 2 needle size holes in it...

thats what i did, just layer of verm on top of cakes, 4 holes, fabric tape...blamo, colonised jars.

No, they don?t, you make the holes with the syringe at the moment of inoculation.

First, it?s inoculation, NOT innoculation. And sterilize, not steralize.
Second, you don?t need polyfill with PF jars.
Messing with polyfill at this moment is just screaming for contamination problems.

Yes, you need gas exchange.
Again, the aluminum foil wrapped on the jar as described in the PF tek for Simple Minds will take care of the gas exchange.

Dont even tape the holes fuck that, if you got a 1/2 inch dry verm layer on top you will be fine. I did 12 jars with no tape on the holes, and I had no contams and they colonized very quickly. Just leave the 4 hole son the top uncovered.
