I am working on this, right now. I haven't consciously escaped yet (we all leave every time we go to sleep, but we have no control over where we go, or are even aware that we "went"). However, I get a lot of the funny feelings and movements that are suspossed to come with getting through. I feel that I don't know exactly when to jump, or to actually escape. How much have you read? Search google for some sites (especially Mystic Web). That should get you going... they even offer online classes. Shroomism (one of the mods here) is pretty advanced with this, hit him up for some information). Which reminds me, Shroomism, how do get out, so to speak? I lay on my back, let a lot of my thoughts run their course, and gradually start getting the word "flow" going through my head, eventually, to where it is the main thought. I get a lot of the feelings, but how far into it before you can escape? How do you know when it is time to leave? I thought I might have been ready last night, so I moved my arm, opened my eyes and such, but it seemed like I was still wide-awake. Can you see your body when you do it? Or am I making too big of a deal out of it all? Thanks, and good luck to you, Yellowsubmarine. Peace.

The farthest ive gotten with this is feeling my physical body completely relaxed(and asleep I think), and feeling my "astral body" begin to try to get out. I cant never do it though, because its all so exciting and I always loose concentration/intrest afte a few tries, and fall asleep. I would also like tips, ect.

This is all the farther I've gotten, too. I have been getting to where I don't get all excited, though, and I get farther along in the feelings, but I don't know if I get far enough to try to leave. I don't know anything, after that part. Peace.

Ya it sucks cause you think your sooo close. I have found every night I try, I get a LITTLE deeper into the process than the night before, but never all the way there. It makes me wonder how long it takes to get there. I dont know about yall, but I find it very draining to go through the relaxing and keeping your mind aware you are falling asleep, does anyone else feel this way?

That sounds more like you are becoming lucid. I know sometimes when i go to sleep and my body kinda turns off into relax mode by my mindis still awake i kinda relize "hey this is cool" and the next minute im either lucid in a dreamworld, or i stay in that state for a while and wake up because my mind was thinking too much and not relaxing.
i dont know anything about astral projection though

It is sort of tiresome to me, too.
And, I believe, lucid dreaming are one and the same, except that with astral projection, you are conscious when the split occurs; with lucid dreaming, you sort of wake up afterwards, in a dream or something ("hey, i'm dreaming".. but you don't wake up. then you do whatever the hell you want). Peace.

Has anyone ever tried to astral project while being extremely high on pot? Does this cloud or interfere with the experience???
Sometimes when I am real high and lie in bed, I feel that this would be the best time to launch out of my bod because I find it a little easier to quiet my mind.

I would think AP would be easier after smoking pot, since you've already got that numbing feeling in your body. You're practically halfway there. It helps you lie still more easily too so just lie there, be patient. Pretty soon you'll feel the vibrations and the humming, and off you go!
