JREF must approve all testing protocols. They also do a preliminary testing. Very suspicious. Randi is just a moron. Search for 'Rico Kolodzey' and what Randi wrote to him in a letter.

Actually, here it is:

"Date: 6/18/99 12:03 PM

Mr. Kolodzey:

Don't treat us like children. We only respond to responsible claims.
Are you actually claiming that you have not consumed any food products except water, since the end of 1998? If this is what you are saying, did you think for one moment that we would believe it?

If this is actually your claim, you're a liar and a fraud. We are not interested in pursuing this further, nor will we exchange correspondence with you on the matter.

Signed, James Randi.
(A hard-copy of this letter will be sent by post to you, today.)
James Randi Educational Foundation
201 S.E. 12th Street (Davie Blvd.)
Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316-1815"

In other words , James Randi preselects and prejudges who may apply for the test, after which the preliminary testing filters out anything that would embarrass them. And so the real challenge for a million dollars remains safe. How is this prejudging bias scientific, logical and fair? Like I said, you don't want that debunker on your side.

Wait what? You have acces to his sent mails or what? This mail isn't scientifically proven :lolsy:.

JREF must approve all testing protocols.

Of course they do. That's so you can't cheat. But YOU propose the test. You tell them exactly what you can do, then you do it. That's it. If you can do what you say, you take home the money.

In other words , James Randi preselects and prejudges who may apply for the test

The only things they reject are claims that are likely to lead to injury. The reason for this is a legal one. If someone is hurt by attempting something obviously harmful, then they can sue the JREF and get the million dollars by cheating that way. This is all covered in their FAQ. Have you read it or is cherry-picking one rejection of a dangerous test out of many thousands of accepted tests how you justify fantasies?

Kolodzey wanted to deprive himself of food for months as his test. That would likely lead to physiological problems like electrolyte imbalances and cardiac arrhythmia, possibly death. That's why his test protocol was rejected.

However, in other parts of the world without retarded liability laws like the US, his test WOULD have been allowed. I gave three organization already that wouldn't give a flying fuck if the guy dies of starvation during the test. Here they are again:

The Premanand Challenge:
http://www.indian-skeptic.org/html/rules.htm

The Australian Skeptics Challenge:
http://www.skeptics.com.au/features/challenge.htm

The Science and Rationalists' Challenge:
http://humanists.net/avijit/prabir/sra.htm

So if Kolodzey can really do this, why is he dead set on ONLY winning the JREF prize. Why doesn't he go to one of the many others around the world where they will happily lock him in a cage and watch him starve to death without having to worry about a lawsuit?

I'll tell you why. Because he's a liar.

What sort of test could prove that you've only consumed water since 1998?

The guy wanted to be locked in a cage for 12 months without food. What's hilarious is that I think this particular guy lives in India where the The Premanand Challenge is administered.

In India, they wouldn't give a shit if the guy dies. They would happily lock him in a cage and come get his corps in a few months when he fails the challenge. That's why he was INSISTENT on coming to Fort Lauderdale for the JREF Challenge and refused to do the Premanand Challenge. Because after a month without water, JREF would have had to call 911, then the guy would have had a successful lawsuit against the JREF and possibly even criminal charges. It would have been EXACTLY the same test in India, but he refused.

This strategy has been tried before to win the money by lawsuit instead of by demonstrating magical powers. So the JREF no longer accepts challenges that ware likely to lead to the claimant being harmed.

There was another guy who wanted to be shot in the chest at close range. Duh, he was rejected too.

What's depressing is how the True Believers latch onto one absurd claimant who was rejected for obvious reasons of safety but ignore literally thousands and thousands of other claimants in the 50 years the challenge has been on the table. And they also ignore the fact that the other challenges around the world in places without frivolous lawsuits are available to anyone no matter how dangerous or absurd the claim.
