You are lucky man, they were looking for a K of crank and I went to jail for a 1/8th of weed that wasn't even mine and the guy owned it at the scene, they still took the whole house of folks to jail. life is so much easier now that I'm not involved in any of that shit. Anyone who says dealing drugs is easy money has never dealt drugs..... That is the the most stressful business in the world, no more hard shit for me, no more dealing shit, and no more worrying about my door getting kicked in or getting robbed or having to wonder which one of my life long friends is gonna fuck me over. I never thought their could be so much freedom in sobriety, but I get it now.
That really is beautiful, everything you said there. That's what I've wanted to hear. DO you grow cubes?
No, I don't anymore, I did for seven years, I got a family, businesses very active in my community, I don't keep anything illegal at my house, and a Cube grow op would be considered illegal . Life is very different now, I would never subject my daughter to the type of life I lived for over a decade.
I had a good run while it lasted, but like I said earlier, there is much freedom in sobriety. I have what I'd like to think is minor PTSD, I can order a pizza, and as soon as there is a knock on my door, my blood runs cold and my heart jumps, even though I know someone is coming to the door. This has been over 7 years since my last raid, and it still effects me to this day. Kinda sucks, I should probably go to therapy for it, but hey it's just a battle scar from the war on drugs. They took my house, all my money, cars and everything else I owned. Proceeds from an illegal enterprise. It's not worth it. BTW if you get caught with a manufacture of schedule 1 charge, they can take everything you own for the reason stated above, even if you never sold any of it.

Man, it's actually kind of comforting to know someone else has this too. I've been done and out of that shit for 3 years and it still gets me. I know I don't have anything to worry about but damn if I swear each time something like a knock or anything is taking a few seconds off my life.
To the OP: I've had both happen and not really sure what made them search harder one time than the other. Although I will say the time they searched EVERYTHING they totally left all the paraphernalia in the house and didn't even care that my roommates had weed in their rooms. I think it pretty much depends on the police who are executing the warrant.
Best bet, don't do anything illegal

Man i guess i was sort of lucky. When i got picked up, they didn't even set foot in my house. They tried to trick me into giving them permission to do so but i knew better. They did seize my vehicle though.

QFT. It doesn't matter if I know someone is coming to my door soon. Once that doorbell rings or I hear knocks on the door, my heart rate goes out of control.

My friend got raided since he is on probation for vandalism (He wasn't even tagging, he just had paint on him and was too close to where someone else had tagged... his paint wasn't even spraypaint it was fucking acrylic! )
Anyway, they went through everything. Found a small tin foil folded up with some acid in it. Left it sitting out on his counter (as if to say "we found this"), but never did anything about it. Cops are weird.

This seems harsh, but it is often true. The only occasions I have personally encountered were when neither of those involved used the drugs, had debt, or stayed in the water too long.

Not necessarily true. I've had cops raid my house, looking for a pipe bomb and a handgun and in their search (they left NOTHING unturned, or so they think, they had dogs out here too) look at, and pass over, several pipes and bongs. There's no way they didn't see them, at least one or two of them. They were home made but they weren't like stealthy or anything, they looked exactly like what they were used for. One cop even picked one up and looked at it before setting it back down at one point. I thought for sure he was checking for residue (of which there was plenty) and he was fixing to charge me with poss. of para.
After they failed to find a gun or bomb, they left. No charges, no busting my balls about all the pipes and bongs around or anything like that. Just a "Whoops, well... looks like you got some cleaning to do.. sooo... Bye!"
You are lucky man, they were looking for a K of crank and I went to jail for a 1/8th of weed that wasn't even mine and the guy owned it at the scene, they still took the whole house of folks to jail......
I'm not a lawyer, but I'm guessing the difference is that on shroomslip's warrant, it probably said something like "explosives, chemicals to manufacture...." etc etc.... and on yours it probably said "drugs, drug paraphernalia" etc etc.....
I could be wrong there.
Plus, in a lot of places, they don't really care much about pipes / bongs without a bunch of drugs also being present. On the other hand, a narcotics officer / DEA who was already looking to nail you on drugs, would probably take anything they could get.

A few weeks ago I had a terrible experience with cops at my door that luckily didn't end up being a search but nobody comes to our house EVER. Last night my brother was knocking because he got locked out of the house and I practically shit my pants

I'm not even sure they had a warrant.. SWAT showed up at my house, along with at least (literally) half this city's police force.. I'd never seen so many cops gathered in one place at one time and I've been to the police station plenty of times.
If they had a warrant I never saw it (but I wasn't an adult at the time, either) everything went so quick. For whatever reason a friend of mine had a sister who wanted to be a bitch and called in a false report on him, saying he had a pipe bomb and a gun and he was going to go to the school, and that he was at my house right now.
The first I know of any of this I get a call from the police, the friend had JUST walked out of my room and was headed outside leaving. The police on the phone tell me that they have my house surrounded and ask if my friend is here, I tell them he just walked outside. Next thing I hear is from outside a bunch of yelling, get down and and all that jazz.. I go look out the front window and see him on his knees in handcuffs, and then the cops knock on the door and come in and start searching the house.
--------------------
With my face against the floor I can’t see who knocked me out of the way. I don’t want to get back up but I have to so it might as well be today. Nothing appeals to me no one feels like me, I’m too busy being calm to disappear. I’m in no shape to be alone contrary to the shit that you might hear. You can't wake up, this is not a dream.
