All i got to say is the europeanians used the native people as slaves before they started enslaving africians, The reason they abandion this is becuase the natives immune system could not withstand the new transplanted dieases that the europeanians brought with them, and there skin color could often be mistaken for a white person who had wotked outside alot, where an african could not be mistaken. So if your going to quote history get the whole story. And yes baby hitler you have a point about the africans selling there own people into slavery, but slavery was the custom of the african tribes that where conqured by another tribe so by them selling there slaves to the white man made little affect to the fact that they where slaves and would have been so regardless. And in the long run if you think about it they where better off being sold to the white man and leaving africa, where now most of them have very littel to eat and the ever growing threat of the HIV infection and ebola. And your last comment about christians inviteing america is slightly incorrect I'd have to say that Corporate Avengers said it best when they said "The greatest nation in the history of man began before the colonist arrived". So if you think about that wouldn't it be more beneifical to have Native Americans teach US history, after all they have been here from start to finsih.

Im not agreeing with slavery, im only saying that they where already slaves before they where sold the the europeanians. And by coming to america they escape hardships.....eventually thats all im saying take a second to hear what im saying.

Actually, he has a very good point, though his grammar leaves something to be desired. While slavery is obviously horrible, whose descendents do you think are better off, those of an american slave, or one who got to run free in the jungle for a few more years?
Maybe it's just the area I live in, but I personally don't see very many blacks lining up to ship back to Africa.

Domite - First off, I'd like you to cite something backing your claim that "only a very very small percentage were slaves in Africa."
In my humble opinion, you've seen "Roots" one too many times.
Even if every black slave was caught by some beady-eyed white devil, his descendents' lives were guaranteed to be many times better. In a way, every present-day African-American should thank that beady-eyed white devil. Well, unless of course they're one of those that I mentioned earlier lined up to go back across the Atlantic.
