The criminal applications of scopolamine...

Has anyone else seen this documentary?
My friend sent it to me, and I admit at first I was a little arrogant and sceptical. "They aren't saying much about the drug, I know more than this, looks a bit like sensationalist propaganda from the title, etc. etc." As the documentary develops, however, you hear more and more about its (supposedly) widespread criminal usage over in Columbia, which I personally had no idea about and found very interesting. It's not a drug I had any intention of trying, and this video has only soured my perspective of it. It does present some very interesting stories about both the drug itself and its use in criminal activity in Bogota though, all the while making you lose faith in humanity just that little bit...
What are your thoughts? Have you heard any stories of people being unwittingly given scopolamine (or any deliriant really) with disastrous consequences? Maybe Vice have portrayed it a little too negatively?
My only complaint really is that the documentary neglects to mention that the drug can be found in plants worldwide. My friend was shocked when I told her I could go out and pick some if I wanted to.

I don't like how people keep on referring to scopolamine as a "drug". You could drink all the multicolored liquids under the sink and get pretty fucked up, but I wouldn't call those drugs. Then again scopolamine is frequently used medicinally, so maybe it counts.
Anyway the use of deliriants as weapons is as old as time. The military actually has their own, much stronger ones that they've weaponized. Look up 3-Quinuclidinyl benzilate it's like weaponized, aerosol scopolamine used by the American military.

Is that the chemical name for BZ? I've heard about it and it sounds horrible. I think this drug is the epitome of evil. To me, the root of all evil is power, or in other words the ability to control others.

Moneys the root of evil my man. Without money people wouldn't rise to power.
