Eight steps to gun confiscation...
    #17557862 - 01/16/13 04:25 PM (11 years, 2 months ago)

After reading the posts from several threads after Obama's propaganda event today, I can say with all honesty, that we (2nd Amendment Supporters) have been played like a fiddle, and judging from the reactions of gun owners around the country, it has worked like a charm.

It became abundantly clear today that this is what just happened to us...

Step 1: The Sandy Hook tragedy, use the deaths of children to move public opinion on guns. Frame the argument as being about Mental Health, Guns, and of course, Children...

Step 2: Wait for concern among gun owners to build and push-back to begin...

Step 3: Send Biden out with talk about Gun Control through Executive Orders. Then have the Media start talking about, and even demanding, gun and ammunition bans through Executive fiat...

Step 4: Wait for major push back & active talk of Revolution to stop the tyranical infringment into our Bill of Rights. Stir the gun crowd into a frenzy, while media begins to call them "crazy"...

Step 5: Come out with executive orders that don't "SEEM" to overreach or even threaten established limits on the 2nd Amendment. Then have the media seem disappointed and frame the Executive Actions as, "No big deal"...

Step 6: Wait for everyone to breath a sigh of relief and push back to die down. Media continues labeling gun owners as "Mentally Ill"...

Step 7: Lay Gun Bans and Ammo Bans off on congress so they can take the blame for the "next Sandy Hook", push the mental health gun confiscation angle through Obamacare while framing as many people as you possibly can "Mentally Ill", then putting them in a database to have their guns confiscated. Co-opt doctors as agents of the agenda since no one questions their authority in health issues...

Step 8: Leave enough gun owners with guns so that no one becomes alarmed, but through existing paperwork you know who they are. Using the mental health angle to constantly whittle down the number of gun owners until they are a small minority and no longer any real threat to the agenda...

My friends, we have been played.

Fuck this shit :kingcrankey:

Rabble, Rabble, Rabble.

That's all I have to think about all this second amendment bullshit. Look up all the Amendments in the constitution, and you will realize that we have already lost over half of our "Freedoms."

This gun bullshit is not surprising to me. The U.S. is a Communist nation with just enough "Freedom" of the people, for us to think it's a not.

All they have to do is take away Alcohol, and they've got the entire Constitution unraveled.

(considering all the other Amendments do with the Government, and their right to take money from us)

Besides, I'm pretty sure they want to take away Assault rifles, and weapons from the mentally unfit.
And just so you know, the Americans that own guns, most of um don't own Assault riffles. So I don't see why they are bitching anyway.
And Second, I'm Schizophrenic, I've NVER been violent, I applied for a pistol permit a year ago, and got denied. It was also a 100$ fee to apply, and non-refundable. So these are already pretty strict.

If you own a hand gun, don't cry, if you own a rifle, don't cry, or a shotgun. You get to keep those. (For now.)

It's assault rifles they want gone.

Or am I the only one that pays attention when Obama, and congress speaks?

Is there a different text of the executive orders floating around somewhere?  The 15 page document I read seems pretty vague, and its effectiveness (or lack thereof) will depend on the details.

I'd argue that under the governments definition of "Assault rifle"(mini 14, SKS, High point 9mm carbine:rofl:) a whole lot of people own them.

It's clear to see which side represents tyranny in this argument. And they prove it every time they open their mouths. The leftist point of view is total bullshit that ignores reason, history and common sense. They just keep pushing the agenda, the whole time screaming about "the children". But really the only people they are fooling is their army of naive, useful idiots. The rest of us know what they want, and why they want it.

If we lose them we'll never get them back.
At least I know they won't get mine.

It's vague for a reason. Here's my favorite one.

4. Direct the attorney general to review categories of individuals prohibited from having a gun to make sure dangerous people are not slipping through the cracks.

You mean this guy?

The guy that handed free "assault weapons" to mexican cartels. I wonder how long before everyone is considered a "dangerous person".

I think I want to check out supporting some militias.  I already give a good bit of money to the Wounded Warriors Project and the anti-ACLU lawyer lobby, but I guess we have to look the devil in the eye and do SOMETHING.

Unfortunately lucky for most true criminal masterminds, they don't have a criminal record, and if they do, it's probably easy to get or steal a gun or many guns.

All this is doing is pissing off a large group of people and dividing the nation.

It will solve nothing. If you ban AR's all you do it encourage more convenient handgun usage. If you try to just remove all the guns you cause social unrest and the ones that linger anyway still kill people.

What we need is a mandatory annual psychological evaluation for every gun owner by a real organization; real tracking on who can buy, sell and own guns- none of this second sale loophole bullshit. Beyond that you have to address greater issues. Our lack of mental healthcare. Our broken judicial system and it's bloated prisons.

Embed RFID in every gun and a detector in every school door.

Banning ARs will solve nothing because they are used in like .01% of all crime involving guns. ARs are just a convincing target because they look scary.

I am 100% against any form of gun registry or RFID tracking. That is the final step before confiscation- or damn close to it. You can't compromise with the gun control crowd because they are willing to deceive the public and do whatever it takes to push their agenda. They also never stop, ever, give them an inch and they will take 5 miles.
