i got the ksss my print was fresh so mine was very fast(colonizing)the first flush was great produced nice tall fruits but were very hollow, the second flush was much diffrent i got alot of wierd small deformed shrooms about an inch or 2 tall but were very solid,i've since got some on agar,a tissue sample i did is looking very nice and colonizing very fast, the spores also are colonizing quickly, germinated in 3 days and after 7 days there about the size of a dime.all in all the ksss in my experience has been very unstable and has caused me alot of agar work lol. hope that helps

The newer they are, the better. Especially in syringe form, if you hold them longer than a year, they may be bunk.
Thai strains in general are considers fast colonizers. None that come to mind are known for their large fruits.
Thai cubes are frequently praised for their potency. Your results may vary.
KSSS is known for its crazy little hobbit shrooms. I consider it a unique cube.

it's just if ya have a print sitting around for awhile the spores need time to rehydrate, but it could still take up to and beyond 3 weeks to see growth

Yeah. Prints keep better, but as was stated earlier, they will need to rehydrate in the syringe the longer you keep them. The older the print, the longer you need to rehydrate. You need to keep your spores in cold storage if you plan to keep them for a long time. Even then, the older the spores, the more spores will become unviable. Eventually, you will be forced to use agar with old prints. There simply won't be enough viable spores to dilute in water. Finally, they will become bunk.

No, once they germinate they're like fresh. Just the rehydration time.

I doubt it will effect fruiting too much. It might though.
The fact is you have fewer viable spores. It means there will be fewer hotspots of aggressive mycelium and that will often increase colonization time. Aggressive myc may be aggressive fruiting myc too... Darwinism and all. But spores that survive the test of time have survived a Darwinian test as well. Multisopre is always a turkey shoot. You don't know what you are gonna' get until you get it.

You may also want to contact a mod or admin to have your trade rating removed, since it seems you never actually traded, received, or sent anything. That is an invalid rating.

I have a question.....y is this whole strain naming stuff limited to cubes and not other psilocybes like woodlovers?just asking cause if a cubes a cube but diffrent genetics get there own name but a cyan isa cyan no matter where u are .is it just vendor targeted because of how easy it is to grow cubes?

Its not really. Look at the Pan. Cyans. There's Hawaii, Jamaica, Australian, RDU a few others I can't pull off the top of my head. Even the Azures - Hammond, Elixier
They are out there, but most are based on the location they were found. I guess you could name any variety you found anywhere. But it still doesn't change the species. If you found a Pan Cyan in Billy Bobs Backyard, you could call it Pan. Cyan (Billy Bob) and you wouldn't be wrong. But it would still be a Pan. Cyan.

Hello I have a question regarding the Psilocybe Mcphersonii fanaticus aka "Red Spore", what would be in your opinions the best TEK(&substrate) to grow it with ?
On a totally different subject/matter i take advantage of this first post to thank the Shroomery and it's shroomers here, i gathered a lot of information that abled me to grow my first shrooms recently and it's been awesome , second fruiting on its way, will start journal soon…again thank you very much to the whole community.

You mean the Ps. cubensis Red Spore variety? I've grown that (actually the last grow I did earlier last year):

Nice fruits, nice red spores, as potent as typical of ordinary cubes. Grow like normal.
