Anyone here own/ride a motorcycle? What do you ride?

Just bought a 2013 Yamaha YZF-R6, matte grey/black. Future upgrades are a Taylormade full exhaust system, maybe a bazazz quick shifter. Other than that my bike is immaculate. I use all Dainese gear, gloves, boots, turtle shell. Arai RX-Q lid matte black
This is my first bike. Already addicted. Kind of wish I went with the R1 but since I'm a beginner I went with the 600cc. Ill be adding a liter bike in the future. Either an R1 or CBR1000

Ahhh yeah I picked up this little sixxer. It's got no balls really, I've already out ridden that POS in 3 months.
Bitch Please.
Respect the bike, it will always be faster then you. You go and get that R1 and see how long you can stay around in motorcycling.
Find a road coarse, do track days. I guarantee you will get over your immediate need for a liter bike once that knee glides over the pavement at triple digit speeds.
Also change the gears, stock gears blow ass to meet EPA/noise requirements, that's a given.
'03 R6 track whore '05 Road Star Midnight Warrior - needa sell and pick up another sport bike.
Yamaha FTW madafucka!!!

I wanna get the ducati monster diesel. It's so sweet.
Those KTM superduke 690s are the shiet
I like the naked bike style more than crotch rockets, personally, but my buddy's r1 is super fun too. My other buddy has a 600, it's also super fun, but not quite as ballsy as the r1.

That Ducati is cool. I'm not really a fan of the brand but I could ride that one. Yamaha and Hondas have the build and body that I like.

yeah motorcycles aren't made for short people. I started off on a royal enfield (500cc) http://www.enfieldmotorcycles.com/models/military-c5.html#specs
things are bad ass, reasonably priced and get great mileage.
I wouldn't waste my time with a 250 if I were you. take an MSF class if you've never ridden before it'll pay off.

Ive ridden several KTM's, I dont like how the power is stacked. Its mostly down low. my DRZ would make power all the way to 10k rpm, and my buddies ktm duke II would fall off at like 78-8200, just run out of steam.
The ducati's are over rated. They are status quo like a BMW, maintenance is a bitch. Even on my Aprilia, which is like the ferrari of bikes, i hated because of mainenance. You had to lean the bitch on its side to do an oil change.
Ive been on ducati's, and yeah, they are nice bikes, but most jap bikes make better power, are more reliable and last longer with fewer issues.

I haven't ridden either of them. I'm basing my wants purely off of specs and looks. I really like how both those bikes look.
I'll keep your words in mind whenever I have enough money saved up, though

The ducati will run you what, 17k? I looked at the street fighter for a while, sat on it at the shop, took it for a test ride. It is not a bike designed for 70+ mph highway driving, it is a joy toy. Most ducati's are. If you get a ducati, get the factory ohlins option, on whatever model you get, its worth it. The street fighter has an S version, and the suspension purchased separately, would cost you 10k alone. So its like you are getting a 10k suspension system and a 8k brand new ducati.

Im telling you, a DRZ 400 SM. You can get lowering links, and a corbin seat for it and the a 5'6 person can easily ride comfortable. I know the DRZ like I know how to breathe. Get an 05 DRZ SM, put lowering links on it, get a 300 dollar corbin seat, and the total seat height goes down about 5 inches, which will fit a 27" inseam, and let the person tip toe with both feet at stops, or one flat foot.
