Will cobweb make you sick?

I'm not even sure it's cobweb - hoping to take some pics soon - but the cake is fruiting like mad. Do I really have to toss it? It's very white, not gray, and very fluffy, and it's in small tufts. Hasn't grown appreciably in 3 days. Meanwhile the mushies are going like hell.

Also...is it possible to kill cobweb mold with bleach solution...or salt maybe? Having the same problem.

Are you sure it is contamination ? I mean, white is good if it keeps that color.

I had the same think and if you post some pics I'll be able to tell but I'm guessing that it's actually mycelium growth. Cobweb is usually long, thin, grey, and not as densley grown as mycelium. Is it growing in small light ball-like patches? Your use of the word tufts makes me think so. One time I had a cake sitting by it's lonesome in just a tuperware container noting on the bottom and I would just spray it every now and them with water. sometimes water would get underneath and when I would pick it up I noticed the same (probably) type of growth your describing. I'm going to agree with Sev on this, it's probably just mycelium. If your grow area is too humid it mycelium will do that. Just to be safe I'd post some pics and get more advice .

Hmm, noone answered the question if it'll make you sick or not.

The cost of one modern heavy bomber is this: a modern brick school in more than 30 cities. We pay for a single fighter with a half million bushels of wheat. We pay for a single destroyer with new homes that could have housed more than 8,000 people..." President Dwight Eisenhower, 1953

This question has been made many times and answered many times. Cobweb is not dangerous to humans, it can upset your intestines if you ingest it though.
