mushrooms and dream demons.
    #1753261 - 07/27/03 04:47 PM (13 years, 4 months ago)

sometimes I will take a little bit of mushrooms before I go to sleep, and throughout the night I will wake up...but still be in a quasi-dream state.

a dream state in the sense that....I am in the regular phsycial world (my bedroom) but, I am still dreaming mentally (??? makes sense?).

I will wake up, and look around my room, but I will have an intense sense that there are demons in my reality, they arent communicating with me directly, but the sense that I get from them is that, this reality is completely false...and that behind its beautiful facade is a pure world of nightmarish evil.

I also get the impression that these demons could draw the curtain at any time on my beautiful world, and drag me into their hell at their wish, but....they cant if I dont fear them...and they dont truly exist if I dont fear them (a very typical idea).

anyways....its all very bizzare. Its obviously just a nightmare, but the mushrooms bring elements of that nightmare into my waking physical reality.

has anyone else experienced such a thing?

well, i know what you mean.

something like that happened to me while i was trying to go to sleep a while ago... i began to sense all these horrific demons just lurking inches from me, waiting for me to believe in them enough so that they could consume me... I was just like 'fuck this' and shut them out and went to bed.

Looks like a case of sleep paralysis. Or some form of it. This happens when your "mind" is awake but you're still dreaming. For many people it is a frightening experience. I sometimes wake up and my arm feels dead. I try to lift it up but for at least 30 seconds it is impossible. It's really quite different for everybody.

ive had the same thing. I refer to them as Thought-Forms. There only there because you think they are. Your perception is your reality. Everything you think takes form somehow, somewhere.

Taking some before one goes to bed, that's pretty interesting, maybe I'll try that one night, although I'd kind of expect that the energy I experience from the would keep me awake. I guess just a small dose.

OMG! after reading that, i search sleep paralysis, and i think i used to have that, i would "wake up" from sleeping and feel like i couldn't move at all, and i would hear scary noises and feel like SOMETHING is on me, or "pushing me" into my bed.. this wouldn't go on for long.. but after the fact, my arms would feel just like what you said, i would try to move them but they would just "swing".

Was camping one time and had been warned to hang my food up in a tree so that the bears could not get it. Did I do this? Noooo! Kept it in my tent. Around 3 AM I heard a large animal snorting around my tent and was not a happy camper (this is where the term comes from!) Holy shit! Peeked outside and *blessed relief* it was a deer.

Aha, but did you look carefully? This type of behaviour is typical of pleiadian deer. You recognize them by their black almond-shaped eyes and their gray fur.

Seems to me that those demons really only exist in your head!
Your brain is making your paranoia, fear, and anxiety into something more "real" and familiar, other than an abstract bad feeling.

I have only experienced sleep paralyzis once; I had a very vivid dream, and I would try to wake up, but something held me down, and I felt/heard this weird buzzing, and "saw" flashes of light, then I woke up.
I think it was pretty funny, and very weird.. wonder what could cause such a thing.. hmm??

I get sleep paralysis quite regulary, and that always happens to me... Ur whole body is paralysed but In my experience anyway I try to move my arms first (its a subconcious thing for me), as to turnover. Thats what gives you the impression that your arm is dead, its just you dont try and wiggle your toes or stand-up while lying there half asleep
