I think it was dirt, or perhaps bug droppings.

I think mine is too, there wasnt many new fungi out so I skipped the Pseudohydnum, Inocybe, and Cortinarius for the most part. There were also lots of white Russulas out.

I went out hunting with my girlfriend this last weekend. It was the first time going off trail and i think she really enjoyed being out in the mossy woods! So of course being me i forgot my lighter (see my ritual thread ). So i had to run all the way back to my car, I gave her my camera and said: "You can take pictures when Im gone, twist this to focus and ill set it to macro to it will do self lighting, click this to shoot" then ran off. I came back about 3 minutes later suprised to find a couple of cool shots including this one.
Galerina
I took these after, it was a cool Galerina.
I was proud.
Lepista nuda: some macro shots, screensaver shots.
Galerina
Deuteromycota
Might be Clavulinopsis fusiformis
Camarophyllus pratensis
Stropharia ambigua
Neohypodiscus cerebrinus
Mycena
Russula

Might be, Ramariopsis (Clavulinopsis) laeticolor, but it might not be that either, but its not C. fusiformis because its not really fusiform and not clustered either. But clavarioid fungi have so few macro characters and seem to all look alike, this could be something completely different, but there are a few things going under the name "C. fusiformis" and some of them are pretty distantly related. Really love the clarity on these macro shots

I feel like calling it R. laeticolor is not really any better, that is probably wrong too, maybe to call it Ramariopsis sp. but honestly I'm not even sure that would be any better...

I love natural-looking textures in photos. Those Coprinopsis look so fluffy! That Tremella looks so goopy! Great shots dude.
