I thought that the ancient mexicans picked the "wild" shrooms. Also, they could dry them and save em for the rest of the year.
Did they have the knowlendge of spores, mycelium etc etc???

It would be news to me.

Well hell, if the mayans were aware that there were 9 planets in our solar system then why is it such a reach to say that the mesoamericans wouldn't understand the mundane world around them?
