If you inoculate two points on a petri with an isolate...

Will it appear to sector?

Partly asking out of curiosity, partly because I was a clumsy ass with my transfers and ended up touching a lot of dishes twice trying to get the pieces of mycelium to transfer from scalpel to agar.

Each has two colonies, 2-10mm apart, and I'm wondering whether they will grow together seamlessly if I have an isolate.

If it is a true isolate they will fuse together quite readily. Two separate colonies of mycelium that are genetically compatible (if isolated they're identical) will join together. This is known as anastomosis. Essentially it is no different than if you put an isolated agar wedge in a grain jar and shook after a few days. I would say that if your dish is wide enough you'll be able to see if it forms sectors.
