ihad shrooms for the first time this year new years day and have had them 6 times in all this year the last 2 times i have had very low doses of mexican shrooms(1 gram or less) my usual dose is 1.5 - 2 grams the last 2 trips i have experienced what i can only describe as a feeling like a very sharp rush in my head like a shock this happens only if i relax it feels similar to the feeling you get when you have dozed to sleep sitting up and suddenly wake when your head falls forward waking you up with a start, would appreciate any info as to what this may be or if this is normal. many thanks

I've had head rushes my entire life. My parents would scream at me in the morning to get up and clean something, I'd pop up, make it 3 steps, and wake up on the floor. They get easier to control cause you can feel them comming. Just lock your knees and hold onto something. I'd never done any drugs when they started, so dont blame the substances. I think its just a heigth thing.

trouble with these rushes are they are not very pleasant and i become anxious waiting for the next one and find it impossible to relax this in turn raises my anxiety levels

I like the rushes. It's like a free buzz. It used to happen more years ago but maybe I'm just used to them and I don't notice them anymore.

it's just your blood pressure dropping when you are relaxed, then when you get up the blood flows away from your head (gravity) and your heart doesn't have enough time to compinsate the loss of blood from your brain with added pressure so quickly. that is all, nowhere near long enough to cause brain damage, and it can happen with/without the use of drugs and usually when you're relaxed. adults don't get it as much as children just for the simple fact they drink caffine and smoke and/or are stressed out and just don't become relaxed. i enjoy them as well. i think it's fun to try and walk and try to accomplish what i set out to do in the few seconds i get it. stumbling around like a drunk idiot !!!! i've never ended up on the floor though. heh.

One time it happened and I heard the weirdest deafening noise in my head and then I just stumbled over across the room and went into the wall and passed out.

This is unrelated but one time I woke up in bed and my left arm was completely numb and it's like it wasn't connected to my body anymore. It was completely limp. I freaked out and started screaming and I thought they were going to have to amputate it or something. That would suck though if you were sleeping and the blood flow was cut off from your arm for too long and they had to cut it off.

Oh I love headrushes so much :smirk:

One time I got one during class, I started walking to the front to turn in a paper, got a major headrush, but made it to the front. Then I realised I had dropped all my papers and kept walking  Everyone was staring at me

haha.

I've never had one in public before. that must make you looked retarded. If it happened to me in public I would make a big scene and fall down and pretend to pass out just to get out of class.

I've been having self induced head rushes since I was a kid. I would sit down for a certain amount of time allowing whatever blood to sit, then after 20-30 minutes, I would stand up and stretch every part of my body. It was very intense.

I think I pushed it a little too far a couple of times though. It really sends me off into another dimension. I did it once and went crashing off to the side slicing open my chin on the corner of my dresser. When I came to I was like, what the fuck is this? There was something wet on my chin, and the thing was gushing blood. Well, not GUSHING but it had a good flow going. Another time I did it, and I collapsed and came to and I was hitting my own head against the floor. I still do it on purpose every now and then just for fun, but it isnt as intense anymore.
