Microwaving filter patch bags
    #1747661 - 07/25/03 10:17 AM (20 years, 10 months ago)

I don't have a PC but I do have some filter patch bags I'm planning to be put to use so I'm considering sterilizing the substrate in the bag by microwave. Is this safe? I can't find out if they're microwave safe or not. I figure they probably are since you can pressure cook them but I'd like to play it on the safe side and ask for some expert advice on the best (or if I even should) way to do this :tongue2:

I seem to recall that microwave sterilization of grain dosent work so great, but I dont know if the bags would make it or not.

I do not know if our bags are microwave-able either. I don't want to risk damaging my microwave so I never tried. Sorry I can't be any help.

you can always try it and watch it through the window. Do 1 bag first. 3-4 minutes.
