    #1747479 - 07/25/03 08:30 AM (20 years, 10 months ago)

Pokie the prarie dog has a oven bag full of compost, that has sat around for a couple of weeks. It's straw and dung, pasteurized in the oven, but now has a little white growing on it.Would it be ok to pasteurize again ?

it might have dried out some...

maybe remove it from the bag.. stir it up and re-moisture it..

pack it in a new bag and bake again....

maybe consider carefully opening the bag and scrape off the white stuff.. cobweb?

Looked like mold, not to cottony.Wasnt sure if double pasuerization would deplete the nutrients or not.
Kind of funny, the dung didnt show anything. The dung+straw has the stuff.
