too much light?
    #1744406 - 07/24/03 01:10 PM (13 years, 3 months ago)

ok sitting on top of my terrarium about 8-10 inches above my cakes is a 16" flouro light, and in the middle of the tank between the two cakes is a glass of watter with an airstone in it, it splashes abit, the problem is that my pinsets are on the sides of the cakes that recieve the least light and are farthest away from the bubbler

Too much light? Nah, don't think so. But if you want your mushies to grow straight up to the heavens, make sure that there's only light coming from above. Mushrooms grow to the light, that's why.

Is your "tank" a glass aquarium? or a cooler? if its a cooler, the white on the walls will cause the light to reflect all over the tank, making your mushrooms grow in crazy directions i do believe.
